| Abram's Journey/And Ours |

| I have been impressed with Abram's journey (Abraham) as of late. Do you recall his story? If not, I highly recommend you read beginning in Genesis 12. Ben's residence in Iraq is located beside what is known in the area as "Abram's Well". We are both impressed at the challenge he was presented with by God to prepare for a journey that had an unknown destination, details unclear, and questions unanswered. Meanwhile, he and his wife Sarai desperately wanted to have children, specifically, a son. Ben and I too are desperate to meet our future son, Gareth. Our journey with him however is unclear with many questions unknown and we have no idea as to what severity the cystic fibrosis will be. One thing though that is VERY clear with both of our journeys. God is with us. "Therefore, prepare your minds for ACTION; be self-controlled; set your hope FULLY on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed." 1 Peter 1:13 One thing is for sure. God only gives us enough grace for TODAY but He gives us abundant HOPE for tomorrow. Praise be to God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of ALL comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, SO THAT we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. (2nd Cor 1:3-4) Be blessed my loved ones. |
