| Our Lenten Tree |

During the season of Lent our corps was challenged to do anonymous acts of kindness and mercy to those around us. We had a special Lenten Tree in our chapel. Every time an act of kindness was performed the person wrote down on a white cross the act, but nothing more, and hung the cross on the corps Lenten Tree. Here are few things that were done during our Lenten season:
Passed up a close parking space at Wal-mart for someone else to have. I asked 4 strangers throughout the week if I could pray for them. Put flowers in front of door and rang the door bell as I disappeared. Put a package on someone's vehicle. Slipped money in someone's pocket when they didn't know it. Over "tipped" a waitress Gave in secret flowers to a Valentine from our "Heavenly Father." Let someone have my space in line at the checkout. Gave tickets to a special dinner anonymously to a family.
Thank you to everyone who participated this year, may the Lord bless you richely for your acts of kindness and mercy.
In Christ Carlyle
