Key Scriptures: Romans 12:2; 2 Corinthians 10:3-5; Philippians 4:8-9
Through my studying tonight, I was just really convicted, or warned of the fact that I really need to ask God to take even more control over me in the area of my mind. Not only that but, I as well play a part in that, & need to continue striving to be even more equipped in the battle that rages on in my mind. The mind is a battlefield, & usually where the mind goes the man follows. Following where your mind is, is not a bad thing whenever we are thinking of what is true, honorable, right, pure lovely, & good. These are the things we should dwell on. We can control what we put into our minds, & we can give God control of our minds, by asking Him to. We need to look to God for the renewing of our minds, allow the Holy Spirit to renew, reeducate, & redirect our minds. We can live victorious here on earth in the flesh, because God has equipped us with the weapons we need for warfare, through prayer, faith, love,& God's word. Part of the holiness we seek, is giving over to God the control of our minds, this allows us to take our every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Is your mind a place where you would'nt mind JESUS visiting? If not, why not? Be careful where your mind goes!
