What I learned on Sunday

During the message on Sunday I learned that God chooses the people that everyone else condems as worthless to do his wonderful work. I also learned that God is pleased when we love him with all our hearts. We don't have to do anything amazing to earn his love. Just be ourselves. I think that is awesome. Also I've been having trouble this year with how to witness to others without seeming like I'm forcing them to convert. At first I just ignored what they said and did. Then I started to say somethings. But it kept nagging at me. I looked in my Bible and I find a verse. 
18:3 You must not do as they do in Egypt, where you used to live, and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. Do not follow their pratices. 
Leviticus 18:3 NIV

  It stood out to me because the Lord is warning them against becoming like them. It made me think I must not be like them. I should do the will of the Lord. Stand out, be unique, be holy. Holy I learned meaned to be set apart from. We must be set apart from this world. That is what I learned Sunday. Hoped it helped someone else

oh my gosh! that is deep! wow! thats amazing how you found that verse, i guess God was watching over you. and as for the witnessing problem well i mean mr.arnette told us during one of our Bible lessons that if we put tape over our logo on our shirt (you dont go to private though atleast i dont think you do) and took off our wwjd braclets and never told anybody that we were a Christian would people know that you were a Christian? well at the time i was not a Christian so i obviously said no. but even now i strugle to be differnt to stand out from the crowd (and i go to a Christian shcool-this goes to show you how many Christian "just go with the flow"). then he went on to say that when you act like a Christian people know theres something differnt and they want you to be right. before i was a born again Christian i was like oh great i have to be perfect. but now i realize thats not the point the point is to try to bring glory to God and then i realized even further that Christians mess up we dont have to be perfect. i know that i am trying my best to bring glory to his name but i mean i strugle so much with not cussing. its embarrsing what i will say under my breath. and ashley ive noticed every since i became a Christian that alot of things that people do i dont agree with. but when that happens i just walk away from it (a.k.a. making myself look really really busy) sometimes they'll keep on and not ask me to join (i dont say anything) or they will come up to me and ask me to join and when they do i tell them im not going to be apart of that. well im sorry im rambling. haha. this proboly makes no sense. well cya!! luv ya
