| What I learned on Sunday |

During the message on Sunday I learned that God chooses the people that everyone else condems as worthless to do his wonderful work. I also learned that God is pleased when we love him with all our hearts. We don't have to do anything amazing to earn his love. Just be ourselves. I think that is awesome. Also I've been having trouble this year with how to witness to others without seeming like I'm forcing them to convert. At first I just ignored what they said and did. Then I started to say somethings. But it kept nagging at me. I looked in my Bible and I find a verse. 18:3 You must not do as they do in Egypt, where you used to live, and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. Do not follow their pratices. Leviticus 18:3 NIV It stood out to me because the Lord is warning them against becoming like them. It made me think I must not be like them. I should do the will of the Lord. Stand out, be unique, be holy. Holy I learned meaned to be set apart from. We must be set apart from this world. That is what I learned Sunday. Hoped it helped someone else |
