The Psalmist wrote a beautiful display of love and intimacy in Psalms 43.
During bad times we may get lost in our memories, fear, anxiety. We may struggle with conflicting emotions, inadequacy. Teetering between depression and hope.
The Psalmist reflected these emotions when he said to himself, "My heart is breaking as I remember how it used to be..." Psalms 42:4
I will remember your kindness.....each breathe....each day.
"Why am I discouraged? Why so sad?
I will put my HOPE in God!"
As the trials of life come to each of us may we let the light and truth of Jesus in. Light over shadows darkness. Will you consider opening your life to Jesus? Maybe that is salvation or a relationship with the Savior. Maybe that is seeking help for a illness, marriage problems, sexual abuse, an assault, addiction, depression, strife, fear...the list can be endless.
1:17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him; 1:18 having the eyes of your heart enlightened, that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 1:19 and what the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might 1:20 which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly `places',
God never intended on us walking through this life alone. Jesus went throught the action but never carried His cross alone. God has given you a unique opportunity here on MyChurch....fellowship, share, embrace the wisdom of others.
43:1 Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: Oh deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man. 43:2 For thou art the God of my strength; why hast thou cast me off? Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? 43:3 Oh send out thy light and thy truth; let them lead me: Let them bring me unto thy holy hill, And to thy tabernacles. 43:4 Then will I go unto the altar of God, Unto God my exceeding joy; And upon the harp will I praise thee, O God, my God. 43:5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God; for I shall yet praise him, `Who is' the help of my countenance, and my God. Psalm 44 For the Chief Musician. `A Psalm' of the sons of Korah. Maschil.
The MOST IMPORTANT area in this walk is having a daily relationship with God. God does not put restrictions on us for a time limit or how many verses to read...just until your heart is full or as He leads. Jesus said His yoke is easy and burden is light. If you do not have a relationship with God then start with asking Jesus to come into your life. Oh how He is waiting..... Jesus is The Way, The Truth and The Life {John 14:6}. Jesus came and died on the cross as the ultimate sacrifice for your sins and mine....not one is righteous, no not one. Ask God to show you His ways, truth and where to start in this walk with Him. He is always faithful...seek His way/will in all you do and follow the peace He gives. You may just start your new walk simply by rereading Psalms 43, let the words soak into you and into your thoughts..meditate on His words...pray and seek ye the Kingdom of God first.
None of us are with out flaws, we all make mistakes...if we didn't we wouldn't need Jesus! Just begin maybe 3-5 minutes a day.....
I ran across another blog this morning of a wonderful friend of mine...it enlightens this blog with what God has directed.

Dr, JESUS CHRIST is my counsellor, psychologist, and therapist helping and healing me of anger, and tongue lashing issues. When I faltered and fell yesterday because I fell on the old me, who was there to stop, correct, listen and comfort me? Nobody but JESUS! HE pick me up, and gave me rest and peace . I may had a person around me to listen, but only JESUS listened and solved my problem.
Thank you, Cheryl |

This is great, Cheryl, cuz there are ppl on here who haven't got born again yet. Some of them are even thinking, "is this all there is to Christianity?" not yet realizing they haven't been saved yet. Knowing God and knowing of Him are two different things indeed. King David who wrote most of the Psalms went through pretty much everything! He had every reason to blame and curse God and wallow in self pity, and yet he poured his soul out before the Lord like water and in the end, always rejoiced and hoped in the Lord. He knew His Savior. He always HOPED. I pray this brings HOPE to anyone who needs it. |
