Well, now that I am back to working on the 'east side' of town (about a 40 minute drive)...I look forward to that drive - REALLY! It might sound odd or that I'm multi-tasking, but the drive is routine for me, so it really allows for another chance for quiet time for me to talk with the Lord about ANYTHING on my mind. t's a great way to not get upset in traffic or sunglare, too! I have my Bible in my car and when I get to work I can read scripture after praying and then I find I can start my day with a much better outlook than when I do not. Keep a bible in your car if you're a commuter. I've found that on lunch if I"m out it's another chance to sit quietly and read, even if it's a few verses. Works great at railroad crossings too :) Another favorite part of my day is coming home, my son looking out the front curtains and jumping and waving when he sees me getting out of my car :) |
