Dear Worshipers, As I drove to work today, a song began to run through my thoughts about worship. It is called, "Let the Worshipers Arise". The first line of the song says this: " Father I hear it growing louder, the song of the Redeemed. As the Saints from every nation are awakening to sing." Then I began to imagine, literally Saints all of the world awakening to sing worship to our Father. This to me, is the beauty of the Lord. His Saints, doing exactly what they were created to do. Perfect and complete. Nothing missing, Nothing broken b/c they are doing what they were created and designed to do...WORSHIP HIM. We are all created to worship HIM. Some may trust in horses, others in chariots, but we will trust in the Lord. I know that April is a difficult month for many. I have read two prophetic words making note that April is a time of positioning ourselves for what is to come in May. I am here to encourage everyone that the best position to be in right now is in the position of worship. Keeping our eyes on HIM. For the Lord will fight our battles, if we keep our eyes on HIM.
My Mentor & friend, Dr. Thomas Michael, wrote this about worship:
"When we get to heaven, the only thing that will matter is our worship. It will not be about healing, there is no sickness there. It will not be about prosperity, God walks on streets of gold. It will not be about soul winning, there are no lost souls in heaven. When we get to heaven, it will be about Fathers eternal desire for Worship. Worship is the final dimension and the eternal issue!"
Listen to this song by Philip, Craig, & Dean~ Let The Worshipers Arise.
Breathe of God from the 4 winds blow, Breathe life again to these dry bones, Arise!
Lord breathe your life giving Spirit into us, raise us up. Our souls (bones) are dry and thirsty. Open our eyes, our ears, and our hearts! We desire to come back to the heart of worship, it's all about YOU LORD! Teach us to worship you in Spirit and in Truth!
I love and appreciate how the Lord has used your teachings to open my eyes to worship Dr. I will be a reproducer of the anointing and teachings I have learned from you all the days of my life.
Plumbline~ What a beautiful worship song to the Lord. I can sense the blowing of His breathe even upon you now. In the stillness of HIS presence.
So true! And I can't listen to the song (dial up) but the moment I read your blog name, the song started going through my head! Worship, of course, isn't just singing praises to God or a good "worship" song, it's a lifestyle, when everything we do glorifies Him...and I totally know you know this, Shannon, but I thought I'd throw in my two cents worth! lol Love ya, girl.
Excellent blog! I love this song, and I love what Dr.Thomas said about all that will matter in heaven is worshipping our Lord. Is that awesome or what?
I love to worship all the time because then there is no room for me to think on my problems only thinking about the one who Loves me more than anything and i Love Him the same.........
Worship is such an amazing way to connect with our Father in heaven. It brings such peace and rest, and I cannot imagine a day without having a connection with God through worship.
I too love to worship. When you really think about it. That's all we really need to do. He has already provided everything else. Maybe we haven't seen it manifest but it not because He hasn't provided it. God's transmitter never breaks!
It's like prayer. I believe that a large majority of our prayer should be just worshipping Him.
If you were to subtract form the average persons prayer life, either "Father forgive me" or "Father give me", you wouldn't have much left. He has already forgiven us. Not only us but the entire world! He has already provided every spiritual blessing! I believe our prayer should always be worshipful!
Adam and Eve didn't have to pray for clothes, or food, or healing, or finances, or peace, or patience, or anything, yet they met with God in the cool of the evening every day, just to fellowship with Him. Just to Worship!
Thanks for adding more fuel to my fire Barretta...or whatever your new name is!
Hello Michael. Barvubuela means, married to the throne. A full explanation is on my profile page if you want to know more. I am gaining greater understanding of worship. The Lord thinks it is important, so I should think it is important. I agree with the fact that most of the time we need to worhship HIM and we will pray more effectively, b/c the little things just don't matter as much when we ar ein HIS presence. Emily~ That is a pretty name, and is was wonderful to meet you!
I absolutly love worship. I have noticed that in the last 2or3 years I now really don't ever listent to non christian music. Only if I am with someone else who is listening to something else.
I find that no matter what is going in my life(How bad things seeem) I always get encouraged and find my joy in listening to praise and worship. I can't wait to get to heaven......but untill then I will continue to sing His praise even though I realize how unworthy I am to sing it. Thankful for His grace and mercy even though I don't always under stand.
Thank you for sharing and God Bless,
Missy
Missy, We have been secular music free for almost 10 years now. We love music, and the Lord took away our desire to listen to secular music. Not all secular music is bad, and I do like a few inspirational tunes, but they are not a part of my daily life. Worship is a part of my daily life. I have some friends, who need no music at all to worship. They create their own worship. I prefer a little warming up myself with a nice worship tune that will help me shift from my flesh to the spirit. I am growing to a place where I am relying less on others to provoke me, and learning to initiate intimacy with Father. It is all in our maturing process. Thanks for stopping in Missy! It is a pleasure to know you!
