Becoming a Woman of Freedom or a Man of Freedom

I just wanted to share something with you guys!  For the last week, God has waken me from a sound sleep at about 2-2:30am.  EVERY MORNING!!!  So finally, I got a clue and said, "Ok, Lord, what are you trying to tell me?"  I could here Him speak to me as if He were sitting right there beside my bed.  This is what I heard, "Are you really Free?"  I just sat up on the side of my bed and said, "Huh?"  So I got, up walked around my house for a minute, opened the door and staired out at the night.  "What is that supposed to mean?", I just kept asking myself.  Of course I'm free!  Or am I?  So I had this book on my shelf and it's been there for over 3 years I know!  It is called Becoming a Women of Freedom!  So I pulled it off the shelf and started studing in chapter 1.  Here's what I want to share, in answering the questions and going to the scripture passages that it gave me, I realize that I am not as free as I thought.  There are things in my past that I am allowing to hold me captive!  Memories of times that I never want to relive!  Am I a slave to these things?  Yes, because they are keeping me from being able to move to the place where God is trying to take me!  Are there things in your life that are holding you captive?  Habits, thoughts, memories, or even fear of the unknown path?  Whatever is holding you, let it go so God can use you and move you to the next level!!!  Listen, 2 Timothy 1:7 says, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; But of Power, and of Love, and of a sound mind."  Don't be afraid to let God move you when He whispers your name!!!!  Start searching out the truth and you will find you have been set free from anything that can hold you captive when you accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior!  His blood and all it took was one little drop of blood, has set you free from any and all things that could ever place you in bondage!!!  LET IT GO!!!!

Trish --  You and I have not had the opportunity to spend much time together, but I have always felt very strongly for you and drawn to you, but not sure how to act on it.  I do know that you are my sister and I love and admire you.  Your beautiful voice always lifts me up and always gives me the courage to make a joyful noise unto the Lord even if it isn't the most pleasant noise (haha).  I look forward to getting to know you better and growing and sharing with you.       Reneé

Great blog. Yes, it's good to get up early for those needed revelations. I especially liked, "I opened the door and staired out at the night." What a great line.

I've often thought about that. No electricity in bible times... just candles and starlight. Might make a person a bit more alert to the awesome wonders of God, eh?

Yes, we need to take those thoughts captive, before we find ourselves captive by them. Great encouragement.
