32:6 Therefore let every one who is godly offer prayer to thee; at a time of distress, in the rush of great waters, they shall not reach him.
Ever feel like you're drowning? Sometimes I do. Recently, I have felt like I've been drowning in my circumstances. I feel like I can barely tread water and gulp for air.
However, when I read this last night, it reminded me that it doesn't have to be that way. I like how the NIV words it:
"Therefore left everyone who is godly pray to you while you may be found; surely when the might waters rise, they will not reach him." Psalm 32:6
The waters are going to rise in every-one's lives. The potential for drowning in your circumstances is always there, BUT if we pray to God, when those waters rise they won't reach us and we won't drown in our problems. |
