A friend sent me a link to a great video that I want to share with you. It's called "A Little Boy and His Dog."
The video is so cute. But as I was watching it I was thinking about how the boy is a lot like us and the dog, big, gentle, loving, is ever watchful and ever patient with what the little boy does. Although the little boy is offering love, sometimes it may hurt the dog - but the dog just takes it.
It reminded me of our relationship with Jesus. See if you think the same thing.
This is so cute and I do agree with you that our relationship with Jesus is comparable to the relationship the cute boy enjoys with his pet here. He tolerates our small mistakes and continue to give us the protection whatever is the situation in our lives.
That is the sweetest thing I have seen in a while. As I was watching, Luke was biting my toes. The whole thing is just like the relationship you mentioned. Jesus is so good to be like that dog- there no matter what and loving us still.
I see exactly what you're getting at Gene. Wherever we go - Jesus follows us. It reminds me of a poem I read called "Footprints." The one time we think we're alone and when there is only one set of footprints that we can see, that's when Jesus carries us.
Gene, you're right. There are parallels between dog & Jesus. Good thing the dog didn't behave the way Christians do toward one another sometimes. I can picture it now. Boy puts rocks on dogs head, dog immediately lunges toward boy, pins him down, and sinks teeth into boy's arm. lol
I couldn't get the video to play (maybe I can at the libary this evening)
I am sure that it is as good as everyone says it is though....It is so good to know that no matter what He is always there. (Even though I don't understand why!)
I am watching my older daughters two yellow labs. Shenanigans and Hijinx. Anyway, unless I have someone to watch them I cant go away for the night. I was feeling trapped. But in light of looking at the scenario as you do, how true I cant go anywhere without the Lord. Randy
