| I Do Whatever I 'Want' To |
|

I hear so many people talking about their "struggle" with sin. The Christian walk is not a struggle. When Paul was talking about how he battled with his flesh all the time, he was speaking of his flesh without the power of the Spirit operating. Without the power of Christ.
God gives us the desire of our hearts. No longer are we obligated to fulfill the desires of the flesh.. Does this mean that anything we desire He shall bring to pass? Of course not. What it means is that when we are truly submitted to God, he changes the desires of our hearts, or he puts the desires in our hearts! He changes our "want to"!
I do everything I want to do. I steal everything I want to. I lie anytime I feel like it. I get high anytime I want to. I drink as much as I want to. I have sex outside of marriage anytime I have the desire. I murder anyone I want to. I worship any bag of beads that I want to. The thing is, I do not want to do these things. Why? Because my desires have changed!
Are you struggling with sin? Then I have to bluntly ask you if you are born again. Have you renewed your mind to the Word of God? When we became born again our sin nature was mortified. We are no longer obligated to fulfill sins desires.
The Christian walk is not a struggle. When you have crucified your flesh and become a true child of God, you can do anything you want to do, because God will change your "want to"!
