Thank you Pastor Todd...I needed this tonight. So many times I have shared and truly wondered...Well...did that go anywhere???? OR I truly felt it didn't. So this helps me to know that it has. A great big AMEN and THUMBS UP to this post!

For some it is conviction, for some it is a death sentence.

Mt. 13:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, And their ears are dull of hearing, And their eyes they have closed; Lest haply they should perceive with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, And should turn again, And I should heal them.

we are required to give what the Lord has put on us, else their blood is on our heads

Ez. 3:18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thy hand.

Cheryl, Happy to encourage you!  I definitely can relate to feeling like a failure and wondering if anything that I said made a difference, but the great and wonderful thing is to know that they do.  As long as I am speaking the Word of God, I am speaking power, authority, and life and you are too!

Gary:  You are so right.  The Word does one of two things.  It will soften you and bring you to repentance or it will harden you and worsen your condition.  The Bible tells us that Pharoah hardened his heart against God, and then it says later that God hardened Pharoah's heart.
Seems like a contradiction right?  No, Pharoah chose to disobey God and challenge His word, therefore the Word hardened Pharoah's heart all the more.  I am concerned for many who sit under Biblical teaching over the years and know that because they have chosen to rebel against God or bargin with Him, they have hardened their heart and thereby condemning their own selves but not heeding the Word.
