Ecclesiastes
Please join me in a 12 day study of the book of Ecclesiastes.
Prayer: Father, we come to you during these next 12 days and we ask that you remove the scales from our eyes and open the eyes of our heart and our understanding. Pour the blood of Jesus onto our reality and open the truth into our lives. Jesus is The Way, The Truth, and The Life...thank you Father for the gift Jesus gave when He shed His blood for our sins. In Jesus name.
Introduction:
Some times the events in our life just don't fit together in a meaningful pattern. Many failures, hurts, disappointments happen when we least expect them. On the other hand...a door will open in our life and to us it seems like it is not the right timing. Only God has these answers.
Over the next 12 days, I would like for us to leasurly walk through the book of Ecclesiastes. This is a book I relish and love.
Many questions from the past still exist in our lives today......
*Why sexual abuse?
*Why a divorce?
*Why physical abuse?
*Why not that job?
*Why not that person for my spouse?
*Why an illness?
*Why a death?
*why..why...why....
How do these things fit into the plan of God? Why did they happen?
...some things just don't make sense.
Life is God's gift for us to enjoy. There will be somethings in life we may never understand on this side of heaven.
May we come to Him on bended knee and seek His wisdom.
