Sunday night as I listened to Bro. Don preach about his dreams, I was taken back to a Sunday School lesson I taught in Adult Sunday School a few years ago. It was titled "Free At Last". We were studying in Galatians 4:8-20. 4:8 Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods. 4:9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? 4:10 Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. 4:11 I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain. 4:12 Brethren, I beseech you, be as I [am]; for I [am] as ye [are]: ye have not injured me at all. 4:13 Ye know how through infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel unto you at the first. 4:14 And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but received me as an angel of God, [even] as Christ Jesus. 4:15 Where is then the blessedness ye spake of? for I bear you record, that, if [it had been] possible, ye would have plucked out your own eyes, and have given them to me. 4:16 Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth? 4:17 They zealously affect you, [but] not well; yea, they would exclude you, that ye might affect them. 4:18 But [it is] good to be zealously affected always in [a] good [thing], and not only when I am present with you. 4:19 My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you, 4:20 I desire to be present with you now, and to change my voice; for I stand in doubt of you. So What happens when we accept Christ as Lord and Savior? Does our heritage change? Who do we belong to and what are we freed from? Read some of these scriptures! 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, [then] are ye my disciples indeed; 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. 8:33 They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. 8:35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: [but] the Son abideth ever. 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. 6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. 8:1 [There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 3:29 And if ye [be] Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. So after Salvation, What is our Purpose? 43:10 Ye [are] my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I [am] he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. 43:11 I, [even] I, [am] the LORD; and beside me [there is] no saviour. 16:30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. 4:14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son [to be] the Saviour of the world. 4:15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. If we had no purpose left, we would immediately go to be with our Heavenly Father as soon as we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. So why are we left here? Because we are the Jesus that those who don't know Him will see! We are to be His witnesses! At the end of the lesson, I had written "I Have A Dream" as if Paul had written many many moons ago. Here it is: I have a dream that one day we will live in the fullness of God. I have a dream that one day we will not be bound by any earthly being or anything. We will not allow ourselves to be in bondage to sin, in bondage to man's law, in bondage to false teachings and false prophets, false idols and even in bondage to ourselves. I have a dream that one day we will live as our Almighty God would have us live. I have a dream that we realize that we've seen Jesus and that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us by hanging on the tree! That one day we will realize and know that we are adopted into His kingdom as His children and are joint-heirs. That there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female, for we are all one in Christ. I have a dream that one day we will love one another as a Mother loves her child and just as our Heavenly Father loves us. That we would put aside ourselves and be like Jesus. For with Christ we are not bound by selfishness or any other sin. I have a dream... Free @ Last, Free @ Last! Praise God Almighty, I'm Free @ Last! Just a little food for thought!
