It was dark when I woke up this morning. Quickly my body was moving out of my bed and to rush into this day for I was running late (in my eyes). As I entered into my car and began driving, I said a prayer to God to help me focus on this day. For yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not here yet, and today is a new day. Praise be to God.
Today, I am praising God for new beginnings. With each minute is an opportunity for a new beginning. Yesterday, I had a conflict at work. It got me heated up and frustrated. I had a choice. Do I continue to hold this grudge and let this conflict build or do I let it go?
How many times have we held on to things knowing that God has things under control? How many times do we try to fight our own battles and solve our own problems? How many times do we hold unto our own sins while praying for God to forgive us? The answer to these questions are far too often than one would like to admit. How many people are still in sin, because they are the ones that are not willing to let go? How many people are still holding on to other people's sins and mistakes too?
The truth is this: That God loves us and has set us free, healed us, and forgiven us completely. Praise be to God for His Love.
What are you holding unto today that God has told you to give to Him? Is it a sin, a sickness, a grudge, doubt, fear, or something else that someone else has done? I challenge you today to release it to God. Do not hold unto it. Let God take care of it.
Today my praise report is that today is a new day and an awesome opportunity for a new beginning. Praise be to the Lord God Almighty!
