| If Loving you is wrong, I don't want to do right! |

In the ministry that God has placed me in , I always encounter people who say “Your preaching makes me uncomfortable” or Nobody will hear that kind of preaching”
I used to wonder “What that kind of preaching was?” Was it the kind of Preaching that made you squirm in your seat? Was it the kind that made you think ? Or maybe the kind that caused you to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus!
In my search to find the answer, I found a Prophesy that is ringing true today:
4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4:4 And they shall turn away [their] ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 4:5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. 4:6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. When I got saved ,it was not because of any, ear tickling, back scratching, pussyfooting preaching! It was the Kind that made me uncomfortable in my seat, the kind that pierced my soul.
I am happy that I was made to feel uncomfortable, because being comfortable
(LIVING IN SIN) is what caused me to Cleave to the life I was living. If I had heard some other kind of preaching that just made me feel good all the time I would most likely still be Lost. “ALL this was said in Love”
The reason why most people are in some churches and are not growing is because they want to be pacified by the word!
But I want you to know “sometime in order for you to grow ,you have to hear the truth, and sometime the truth makes you uncomfortable!” So like the old song goes “
If loving you is wrong , I don’t want to do right” If you are under preaching that makes you uncomfortable Maybe it’s not the preaching, Its your ears itching!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amen brother. Look at what the Lord told Ezekiel in chapter 3
4 He then said to me: "Son of man, go now to the house of Israel and speak my words to them. 5 You are not being sent to a people of obscure speech and difficult language, but to the house of Israel- 6 not to many peoples of obscure speech and difficult language, whose words you cannot understand. Surely if I had sent you to them, they would have listened to you. 7 But the house of Israel is not willing to listen to you because they are not willing to listen to me, for the whole house of Israel is hardened and obstinate. 8 But I will make you as unyielding and hardened as they are. 9 I will make your forehead like the hardest stone, harder than flint. Do not be afraid of them or terrified by them, though they are a rebellious house." |

| If you loving us that much is wrong, PLEASE don't do right! LOL!! I thank God for your zeal and boldness...Keep on giving it as God presents it! I love it! Pain and all...stepping all on my toes! It happens to make me a better individual for the sake of Christ. Great one baby! |

I think GOD for the ministry that really submit themselves to him regardless to man's opinions. it's not about a sugarcoated/microwave salvation, but "come boldly to the throne of grace!" and see what he has to offer and then one would agree ****if loving him is wrong they don't want to be right!" bloodwashed saint |

A-HA!! I knew you wouldn't let that one go until you found an answer! Bravo to you, Evangelist Keith! You're exactly right--people always want others to tell them what they want to hear. As soon as a subject comes up that is considered controversial, "politically incorrect," or not in tune with the "love, love, love" sermons they have become accustomed to hearing they bow up like an old cat about to pounce! We need to hear the bad along with the good because that's the way life is.
I have to ask...been back to see your Barber friend since you made this newest discovery?

I am loving it! It is called the conviction of the Holy Spirit. You either fight it and are miserable, or you can surrender and find a life and love and liberty in Christ.
I will say that there is a balance. We don't always need to use the pulpit as a whipping post, the saints need to be edified as well, but if a man of God can't deliever the Word of the hour even if it is a hard word, he needs to reconsider his calling. |
