Ezekiel 36:25-27 (New King James Version)
25 Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.


How do we get in such a predicament?  requiring a heart replacement.  Did it start with that first time we wanted to please our peers rather than our precious shepherd?  Knowing in my case how many warnings were sent across my path concerning cigarettes.  How many teachers did I ignore.  I just wanted to be like the grown ups.  Then it was beer, booze, dope. sexual immorality.  All with there own warnings from our heavenly father.  Continually wanting us for his own.  Where did that leave us.  In many cases to stubborn to even recognise our own need for a savior.

4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; For out of it are the issues of life.

Proverbs 4:23

Thank God never gave up on me.  I didn't guard my heart when it would have been wise but our father loosed the hounds of heaven.  But what are these issues of life would they lie in God's word?

1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God. 1:3 All things were made through him; and without him was not anything made that hath been made. 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 1:5And the light shineth in the darkness; and the darkness apprehended it not.

John 1:1-5

I'm slowly learning how to walk these things out.  At some time I had to let go of my past mistakes.  Accept the grace that's so easily taken for granted.  And yet it's so out of this world that it's hard to believe in and of itself.

4:6 and Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour. 4:7There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. 4:8 For his disciples were gone away into the city to buy food. 4:9The Samaritan woman therefore saith unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, who am a Samaritan woman? (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.) 4:10Jesus answered and said unto unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. 4:11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: whence then hast thou that living water? 4:12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his sons, and his cattle? 4:13Jesus answered and said unto her, Every one that drinketh of this water shall thirst again: 4:14but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall become in him a well of water springing up unto eternal life. 4:15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come all the way hither to draw.

John 4:6-15

Maybe that water is in the world.  Something that's in our country aplenty.  A treasure we may to quickly walk past as we strive to keep our houses and to get bigger better cars.  The living water is right there in various translations.  a water that can change us from the inside out.
