| Day 83 Part 4: Love, Fullness, and Power |

3:14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 3:15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 3:16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 3:18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what [is] the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 3:21 Unto him [be] glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
This is probably one of the coolest passages in all of scripture. Paul is praying that God would give us a knowledge that is unknowable! He wants us to know the love of Christ that, as the ESV says, surpasses knowledge. The love Christ has for us is so high, so wide, and so deep that we can know that we will never know how high, how wide, and how deep it reaches! What an amazing God we have! Why does he want us to know this love? So that we will be filled with all the fullness of God! We should all be bursting at the seems if we know this love and are filled with this fullness!
And guess what! He is also working in us with the power that is able to do "exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think." I don't know about you, but I have a pretty good imagination, and God says He is able to do far more than far more than my great imagination could ever dream up. He can go beyond going beyond caring for my needs and desires and He is working in me with this power. God is incredible! After reading a passage like this, all of the descriptive words we can use for God's power seem so feeble. Words could never describe how powerful God's power is.
