| Times of Rethreshing |
|
| |
TIMES OF RETHRESHING~ I realize that I chose a unique title for this blog. I don’t think rethreshing is even a word. What I am speaking of concerns the Threshing Floor. I have never quite understood some of the bible times language, and so when I read it, I am a bit lost. This is how it was when I saw the word Threshing Floor. See here:
3:2And now is not Boaz our kinsman, with whose maidens thou wast? Behold, he winnoweth barley to-night in the threshing-floor. 3:3 Wash thyself therefore, and anoint thee, and put thy raiment upon thee, and get thee down to the threshing-floor, but make not thyself known unto the man, until he shall have done eating and drinking. This is what I found out about the Threshing Floor: It is the place where the wheat is beaten down, to separate the wheat from the chaff. How this applies to us: It is the place, where we are separated, Flesh from Spirit. How does it work?: The Threshing Floor is the place of Worship. When we Worship the Lord/Yahveh, we are ushered into the place of His Presence. It is there where we enter into a higher dimension and awareness of the Spirit. This is the place of dealing with personal matters. I wonder if this may be why some avoid intimate worship with the Lord. It is the place of nakedness & complete openness...complete oneness with Him. I am not saying I have "arrived" at perfect worship, but I am working towards gaining more understanding, and becoming free-er to step up another level. Worship is for the Lord, but we gain so much by giving it. He lavishes us with his love, when we enter his presence. I am encouraging all to enter in to a time of rethreshing, which brings refreshing, for our Maker is calling us to Himself. He has seperated us from the world, yet we become entangled in it too often. This is why we need the Threshing Floor experience in our lives. Hugs to you all. Peace to you all. Shannon |

That's good!
I do think many avoid the real intimate relationship building part of Worship because they are not ready to let go of those things in which they are comfortable with....the familiar.
Not me I long for "True Intimate Threshing Floor Worship!" |
|
|
| Yeah, at first I thought this was Sylvester the cat trying to say "refreshing", but this is a cool post and a cool concept...the separation of the flesh from the spirit...thanks! |
|
|
Plumbline~ I agree. Keep rethreshing!
Growing~ I appreciate the humor. I love to laugh, and you made me laugh! |

HEY, IT'S THE DEB LADIES! THANKS!
I READ SOMETHING ELSE ABOUT THE THRESHING FLOOR, BUT I WAS AFRAID TO SHARE IT. HEY, I THINK I WILL.
IN THE THRESHING FLOOR, WHEN THE WHEAT IS BEATEN OUT, THE WHEAT IS GRINDED BETWEEN TO ROCKS. THE BOTTOM ROCK IS THE MALE ROCK & THE FEMALE ROCK IS THE TOP ROCK. THIS IS WHERE THE INTIMACY PART OF THE THRESHING FLOOR COMES IN. IT IS HOW WE KNOW GOD SPEAKS OF INTIMACY W/HIM IN THE SPIRTUAL. OK...HOPE THAT DIDN'T RAISE ANY RELIGIOUS EYEBROWS. (OR VISUALS...EEKS!) IT IS A BEAUTIFUL THING W/OUR FATHER, ON A COMPLETE SPIRITUAL LEVEL. |

Rethreshing......what a concept!
"It is the place, where we are separated, Flesh from Spirit." That's good, it's really good.
Rethreshing is much better then rethrashing, which is what we really deserve.
We prasise you Father! |

Shannon, This seems to be a phrase to start out a song with.
There'a a place Where we are seperated Flesh from flesh Bone from bone. A place of calling Calling deeper Calling hearts, A calling home
There's a place Where He grinds away All that's me That's not of Him There's a place That's grinds against A Rock of cleansing
Hmm, ran out of steam....... OK anyone have any edits, any additions, or even different directions entirely? I do think this idea has a song in it, in fact a good song.
Thanks Shannon, you are a true worshipper who is really just starting to find her revealed voice! |
|
|
| Dennis! I had not thought of a song! Very good! Umm... let me get back to you on that. |

a rock of cleansing-----setting me free.
It's a place of intimacy me and you you and me the place where I long to be
trusting you to care for me knowing you will not hurt me giving all to you I have to give letting you strip away and setting me free.
a place of transparency you can see through me this is the place of intimacy I am set free.
How's that? I'm not a song writer but it sounded good to me. LOL |
|
|
| That's wonderful Deb. I wish I had more time to spend on this blog. I am very busy right now. Maybe later! |

Free...I'm free indeed.. Knowing that You, complete me. I'll feel no shame, and no pain, in your Presence... I long to be, what you've called me to be. Pure and holy before thee I wish that the world could see what I see A king so full of glory Your love is great, and reaches, far beyond imagination But as for me, I will recognize, the blood that was shed for me at Calvary
(OK, I just had to take a minute to worship w/ya'll!) |

Hey Shannon,
I tried to send you a private note but found I am blocked to do so. I wonder if I could ask you to take a look at this article for me, that I wrote yesterday morning (4-20-08). Do you find this offensive? The reason I ask is that it was made known to me that my article never saw the public eye. I scanned all 30 some odd pages for it and it was no where to be found shortly after I had written it. Somewhere along the line I have caused myself to be blocked I think (or it's the devil), and now my messages like I wrote yesterday are being withheld from the public. Anyway, if you would be so kind (and anyone else also), please tell me what you think about this article is it to crude? http://www.mychurch.org/blog/173187/Planned-Parenthood-is-a-Racist-Organization |
