| Trusting God in Hard Times |

The domino effect---Once one thing goes wrong, more things seem to go wrong. That's what has been happening in my life right now. Just as I get used to one major catastrophic piece of news, something else pops us. Welcome to my life the past few weeks. Due to being a member of a very private family, I can't go into all of the details, but just know that I've spent many nights crying and pouring my heart to God.
These have been some very hard times as I realize that people aren't invincible, no matter how much in my eyes they have always seemed that way. Through it all, though, God has been there to lift me up. He's seen my tears. He's seen me weeping as I realize if we don't get a touch from God in our family, nothing (or no one, for that matter) will ever be the same. I've learned to lean on Him like never before. I've learned the meaning of "the joy of the Lord is my strength" because these last couple of weeks, that's about all I've had to run on.
I can't imagine what some of you are going through, but trust the Lord that He will supply all of your needs. Yes, it's nice to have support from the body of Christ, and yes God WANTS us to have that support. However, make sure that you're still going to God with your problems first. He's the ultimate support system. He's the ultimate Counselor and Healer. |
