15:17 These things I command you, that ye love one another. 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before [it hated] you. 15:19If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. I was just wandering around the house the other day, looking for something to do when I got to thinking [which on certain occasions can be quite frightening for any persons in my nearest vacinity, because I tend to share my thoughts openly]. But, I have decided to publicly share my thoughts on the irony of Secular [or Unsaved] peoples:
** Christians are critisized continuously for their faith in God, a God in which no one can see the face of [John 1:18, Hebrews 11:1]. -- Ironically, scientists and so such men don't take a second look at Darwinism and Evolution, a belief in something in which they cannot duplicate, and there is no first-hand account, only "theories."
** When a Christian parent is concerned for their child's well-being, and want to raise him in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, in which they either home-school their child or send them to a private Christian school [Proverbs 22:6], they are stamped as "close-minded." -- Ironically, when a Christian attempts to talk to an individual about God, in most cases, the Christian is immediately shut out and told that "humans evolved from monkeys and our God is fictional." [which I will state is absolutely, altogether, completely, and thoroughly blasphemous]
** When we, as children of God, dislike to associate with unbelievers [2 Corinthians 6:13-15 ], they are called discriminatory. -- Ironically, when our younger generation attempts to talk to their children about the Lord, they refuse to allow them to "pump that trash into his/her brain."
Now, I have no right to say anything disputeable about non-believers:
7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. 7:2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 7:3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? But, I do say all this to make a point.
We may not always be in accord with non-Christians [we may never be], but we do need to love them and continually pray for them!!
13:33 Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you. 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 13:35 By this shall all [men] know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
5:43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. |
