| 5yr old with Cancer: Answered Prayers! |

Esther is a 5 year old child at Children's Hospital in Oklahoma City, Ok. The blood bank for the hospital is out of A- type blood. If you can help please call Children's Hospital.
Esther is a child of missionaries that are here for a visit from Brazil when she was diagnosed with cancer. The family is staying at the Ronald McDonald House. There are 4 children and one on the way. The family does have a financial need. Please pray for this family.

4/18/08 Praise Report: Esther is out of ICU!! She is in a regular room. She has received the platelet and blood donations many of you have sent to her personally! She is responsive! Her kidneys is 1/3 operative and now has the ability with her youth to regenerate itself, the doctors believe it will since she received the platelets. Thank you! She is now resuming her cancer treatments. The family thanks you and was in tears for all the help and prayers...they said, "What a mighty large family we have in God!"

| Okay my friends....I went to the hospital tonight in hopes of giving the blood! I was just heart broken. I misread and thought it was A pos and not neg. But...they can use the positive blood.They just have to give her something extra. I have to go the OBI here in Oklahoma and do the donating. It was late when I got there. What they really Really need is Platelets.I am still going to donate...but going back tomorrow. I went to meet precious little Esther. Please pray for this little life. Her father was there with her. We talked and shared a little. They have three other children at home and one on the way. The mother was home sick with strep ..please pray for her! This family needs to be bathed in prayer!!
So any of you in Oklahoma on here...A neg...platelets are needed!!! OR I suppose you can donate from wherever you are and have them ship it! Message me and I can give you specifics on the name.
Specific prayer right now is her liver is in decline...due to some of her treatments...not the cancer. Lift her up! |

5:40 p.m. {Tues}UPDATE: A Oklahoma City, Ok. member of MyChurch is going to the hospital to donate for tonight. More blood will need to be donated. Please contact the hospital for a donation if you are in the area.
Also: Your church can ask to be a donate site to help replenish the loss. The hospital will provide supplies and technicians for free.

| I am assuming with the combination of other medical items and maybe medications, it may be too much of a risk...she is very fragile. |

Cheryl and all...I have troops rallying! I have emails going out...Have received several back already of ones that either are the right type or know ones who are. If they are not they are forwarding on to their own lists. The word is getting out! I would like to say that if you donate from where you are it should/ would work the same as a tissue or organ donation. They would be able to transport that blood to OKC. Now I don't know that for sure...but blood can be kept for long periods of time obviously....So it should be able to be cooled and shipped. I think I shall research that!
And YES! She is more than PRECIOUS! I will be going back and checking on her. She was asleep as they had increased her pain meds, but oh what a precious little life lay there. I saw pictures of her and her siblings. Joy radiated from her face. I want to see that joy again! |

| I am so glad you posted the update Cheryl...I hadn't seen it go up...and I just came to your page to find the blog and was going to post the update myself because I know how busy you are! I am still so in awe of how God has worked in this situation. To know that this little life is still fighting...well, I just can't tell you how this makes me feel inside. To see the body of Christ at work! Tears, chill bumps...it truly is what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus and more! We ARE the body! The need is still being met and I am praising God everyday for those people who have stepped up to donate. There is a gentleman at my church that went in to donate the platelets and they told him that he had to have an appointment...he was discouraged of course, because he was ready to 'getter done!' But he is going back and he is so thrilled to do so for her. I just love to see that attitude. It was one of, " I have plenty to give". Praise God! And it hasn't stopped others from donating blood even when they are not her type. She is getting credit to her account for the donations, but others will receive blood in her name. See...gifts....sharing....God's love being poured out among the many. Oh if only you all on here could have seen this little girl's face like I have seen her. How precious ....How precious..... |
