I started a Bible study. Not sure I like it yet. Not enough meat, but anyway.
Today it talked about the garbage in garbage out idea. Its something I realized a while ago. What we watch and hear affect what comes out of our mouth.
Have you ever gone to the store and just listened to people. I don't mean be weird and follow people just to hear what they say, but over hear people and wonder about them. I was at the store the other night and I was glad the kids were at home. It seemed like every aisle I went down I heard someone curse. This really bothered me. Maybe I am crazy, but I don'twant foul language around me. I spend all day with my kids we listen to christian music and watch educational tv. My world is rated below G. I am not naive, but come on.
How does this world affect you. 12:2 And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
I challenge you to take at least one day and turn off the tv. and the internet. No outside distractions. You can listen to christian music ,talk to God and meditate on what consumes your thoughts. Then go someplace public. Are you affected by those around you?
