EVEN SUPERSTARS ARE HUMAN
Everyone expected Tiger Woods to win the Masters and he didn't. We then found out he was having knee problems and had to undergo surgery. Often Tiger Woods seemed larger than life. My son in-law Matt had the chance to go and see Tiger play in the Masters. He is not a huge golf fan but he couldn't pass on the chance to see Tiger. My grandson Brody was excited when his dad returned from the trip and asked, "Daddy did you see the tiger in the woods?" Once again we see that mankind is frail and sometimes weak, even the greatest athletes among us. In a strange way I get comfort from this thought. Sometimes I expect superstar performance and all I get is human. Sometimes I feel like a failure, I aim high and fall way short. But these are the times when God can do great things in my life for it is then that I rely completely on Him. Paul was in a Roman jail and things looked pretty bleak, but he didn't give up. He made that famous statement; I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. When I am willing to acknowledge my weakness He becomes my strength. Tiger will be back and so will I.

EVERYMAN
This is just a reminder to all the men who are planning on attending the 2nd everyman men's group, or for those who maybe did not attend our first meeting, but are interested in the group. We will be meeting this Saturday April 19th at 11am. We will meet here at the church in the "Man Cave" at the back parking lot. For those of you who got the book, try to have the first chapter read as we hope to discuss that as a group. Also, if you have not given the $10 for the book and workbook, if possible please have that to give as a way of helping the church take care of the cost of the books. As always though if funds are tight, please do not feel pressured or required to provide this assistance. We are asking for this only as individuals are able. We want as many men to be part of this group as feel led to do so, regardless of ability to give toward material cost. Thank You, God bless, and if you have any questions please call 962-6335. Ask for Chris. See ya' Saturday! (Chris)
