You may have seen the commercials. You may not have. I didn't until yesterday night. What I'm talking about is Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed. Basically, it's a documentary starring Ben Stein as the 'Rebel' of his generation. He wants to get it in people's heads that people as believers in God are being criticized and 'expelled' for our beliefs. Seriously. It deals with the persecution of people who stand up and say, Yeah , I say God made Life...What are you gonna do about it?? Truth is, according to this movie, they 'expell' you from your job if you're a scientist. you're not allowed to talk about it. IT's NOT POLITICALLY CORRECT. Ben siein thinks that we need to stand up for the first amendments freedom of speech and not let people surpress orur thoughts..
Go to www.expelledthemovie.com. Check out the trailers. Watch the movie. Stand up and tell your teacher that you are sick of hearing about his theories. Do it!! NOW!!!
As some of you know, We are currently in our evolution unit at school. What I'm going to try to do is get a bunch of people to buy the shirts on that ^^^^^ site and wear them to school on the day of our test in a few weeks. Keep in mind that's also the day I'll be plopping a big fat report of scientific facts that evolution shouldn't be taught in school.
BTW, when Im done with that report I will try and post it in a later blog. |

I don't know whether some parts of the theories surrounding evolution contain truth or not. I am not a scientist. However, one thing is for sure, God did it, whatever happened, he did it. It wasn't an accident!!!

Actually, I've been looking at a lot of the thoeories evolutionists have and they really have no logical sense. A lot of the things they tell us are evidence aren't plausible and intellectual conclusions, just them saying 'well, Creation is definitly wrong, so it must be blahblahblah.' i think to have an accurate conclusion, you have to enter the experiments with an open mind, which is something a lot of scientists don't do, since they're already dead-set against Intelligent Design. As for Theistic evolution, (the belief that God created Earth over a course of milions of years and used evolution to complete the tasks, etc) isnt very logical either. I't's just the compromising of ours beliefs with the secular world. As I'd like to point out, Barack Obama stated in 'The Compassion Forum' that he is a Christian, which I think, is a political move, since he also stated that God might not have made the world in 6 days and that he believes in evolution. at which point i started yelling "doodoohead!!!" at the TV. |

I saw some ads for this on answersingenesis.org & icr.org and I youtubed the super-trailer for this; it looks well done. I know Ben Stein is Jewish and not Christian (and I don't know that he necessarily believes in a young-earth creation), but im really glad premise media got him onboard with this. He is a big name and has a good personality and following which will hopefully snatch a lot of attention to this movie, which has been very much needed for a long time now.
Kudos to you: When I was younger I didnt really take things seriously enough that i was able to see how darwin's theory of macro evolution and the bible were in big conflict with each other (when i got a bit older i saw the conflict and how it affects the trustworthiness of the bible particularly).
Theres a lot of deceptive speculation mixed in with factual science in classrooms today; and it takes one sharp cookie to know the difference between real empirical science and speculation; many teachers, smart as they are, can't see where that line of supposed science actually intersects the region of faith and not simple observation of facts.
The toughest part is keeping a cool head and not over-playing one's cards when people challenge you on this (gotta still love people, even when disagreein'). Ive had a lot of close Christian friends even who tell me that 'its not important at all' and 'it just divides Christians', but i believe that moreover it convinces struggling Christians and non-christians that there is no need for a Creator if you can get a dot to evolve into planets and goop to evolve into humans (but its bad theology and bad science); it also makes the biblical creation account in Genesis look like a poorly written illogical metaphor - and not something that God would've inspired. I was really happy when i learned that actual science does a better job of fitting with the bible than any mush-to-molecule-to-monkey-to-man ideology. God definitely created like he said; and not long ago.
Anyhow, way to be gutsy at school! I wish i had someone like you to stand up and tell me and my friends this stuff when i was your age! |
