A furlong is a measure of distance in imperial units and U.S. customary units. It is equal to one-eighth of a mile or 660 feet or 201.168 metres. In Revelation 14- 20And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs. Furlong = 660 feet multiplied by the verse 1600 furlongs = 200 miles exactly. In that assessment we go onto understand the word of God is literal not suggestive or figuratively by intellect, for I assure you, the Bible can only be understood by the Spirit not the intellect. So the Winepress description is the way it shall happen when the time comes.
We may all have different thoughts and research on the Bible and all think we are right or close to being right. But what it all boils down to is not who is right and who is wrong, for that does not matter, even tho so much emphasis is put on it. What matters is living our lives in the Lord Jesus Christ and following his teachings to serve our Father in Heaven day by day doing his Will, by his Will and ours becoming one as it was with Jesus and the Father as he walked this earth. To do that we MUST serve others for the Fathers Will to be known. We MUST get his Word out to all people, to bring them to Love of the Son so that they may know the Father. We MUST show them the Love, forgiveness and understanding of the Son, then we must introduce them to the Father through the Son. We must teach then how to be a Christian. That is our job, no if ands or buts, that is our job.
But I do know that if as I stated above, we stay focused on living as Christ lived and doing our Fathers Will. Only then, will it not matter of Revelations for we will be in the Spirit and not as the people that will be in the Winepress as in Revelation 14:19. But in the Spirit of our Savior Jesus Christ we will watch. So we must serve our Lord and be of ONE Spirit not apart from it, in this life, so we will also be in one Spirit with Christ in the afterlife. For those who think they can wait until their last days and then profess their sins and ask to be forgave before death.
I say, NO you are wrong, if you have the knowledge now of the true Spiritual Soul Saving need for the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, that you will not be received by the Lord for he will not know you as you choose not to know him after you or anyone has the knowledge of the true need for the Trinity along with the true need to know and be of the Son Jesus Christ. For after we or anyone else has the knowledge there is no more excuses for not serving the Lord, None. I am not stating that we can not make mistakes and repent, I am stating that we can not continually live our lives until our last days knowing how we should have lived and didn't because of self will and thus ignoring Gods will, I tell you this true. I tell you now that there are many who state the word of the Lord, that will be in the winepress. For they did not live with in the word of the Lord. God is forgiving and loving, he has saved all mankind through his Son Jesus Christ for those who believe, do not wait until it is to late to love the Lord, for he Loves you.
Brothers and Sisters, the Lord is forgiving and Loving and our Savior, we must teach that to all, and there can be no excuses not to. We must also teach that others can not wait until their last day and repent, for it will be to late. Into the winepress they will go. So be it, so says the Lord. When I say that, I am not speaking of a dieing person, of course we will stand by them and pray for the nonbeliever to find Christ up the last second of their life. I am referring to after the rapture starts, there is a very good chance it may be to late to repent and accept Christ. Thus the importance of us being Ministers of his word, to bring as many people as we can to understand his Sacrifice and his love for us so that may themselves become Christians and also follow Christ.
Let us keep our Brothers and Sisters out of the Winepress. For I say, before you read Revelations 14, read Luke 17: 30 to 37 below. I am not trying to say the world is ending tomorrow, for only the Father has that knowledge, even the Fathers Son, Jesus Christ does not know when that day will be and he sits at the right hand of the Father in Heaven. What I am saying, is do not wait until it is to late for to live the word of God ourselves and teach others about the Lord, for all we have is now. I do not like Preachers who preach constant damnation or constant impending doom.
I say, this is real and someday will happen, so let us not teach others it is OK to put off teaching the word of God or living with in his words. Let us ourselves no longer procrastinate on living the example as Christ did. For the more we teach, the more the ones we teach will teach others the word of God and the life of Christ. Let us truly be as Christ and serve our Father, by saving ourselves and others as Christ did. One more thing I state, what I have spoke of so far and to come in the following verses, is before it even gets bad for the world in Revelations. Lets us serve in all the ways we can serve in own Ministries and helping others in theirs. Let us serve because of the Love we have for the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, I am in no way saying serve out of fear, but serve out of love. I am saying, if you do not fear the Lord they God, you will someday. Only by the Grace of God, am I saved, in faith and gratitude, I shall do the work for the Lord. May the Lord Bless us all so that we may be about our Fathers business.
Luke 17 (King James Version)
30Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
31In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
32Remember Lot's wife.
33Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
34I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
35Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
36Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
37And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
Revelation 14 (King James Version)
Revelation 14 1And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.
2And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:
3And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
4These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
5And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.
6And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
7Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
8And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
9And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
12Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
13And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
14And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
15And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
16And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.
17And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.
18And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.
19And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.
20And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.
Revelation 15
1And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.
2And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.
3And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.
4Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.
5And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:
6And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.
7And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.
8And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled. |
