| Why are the sheep so skinny? |
| |
Why are the sheep so Skinny? As a soul-winner and Evangelist, I am always in contact with people from all walks of life. The main goal for me as an Evangelist is to win the Lost to Christ, however I always encounter those who are sheep “born again believers” as I talk to some of these sheep “born again believers” I have noticed a unhealthiness in there speech. What I have noticed is that they are not being feed the proper spiritual food by the ones they are being shepherded by (The pastors and teachers), it is noticeable because they don’t speak with the Kings language , “That is” they talk of Jesus on a less personal level , and they speak more of going to a church building and being Baptized , and how prosperous they are because they go to church.
As I question myself I have to ask the reason for “Why these sheep are so skinny?”
I come to the answer and say they have been feed with what I call “Spiritual Crack!” What is Spiritual crack? Spiritual crack is: The truth of Gods word mixed with the traditions of man; ego and laziness , or an unwillingness to teach the whole truth on the part of the under shepherded (PASTOR) 21:15So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. 21:16He saith to him again the second time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. 21:17He saith unto him the third time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. 21:18Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry [thee] whither thou wouldest not. The above scripture is a conversation Jesus had with Peter, this is going to be the third time Jesus appears before the people after his resurrection , and after Peter had decided he was going to go back to his old Job “Fishing”. He asked Peter “ Do you love me more than these fish?”, and each time Peter said “I love you” and Jesus tells him “Feed my Lamb, feed my lamb, feed my sheep” three times to Peter, and on the last time Jesus asked, Peter say s “ You know I love you”
Before you all go Theological on me about the meaning of the types of love, just think practical for a few seconds”! Peter said that he Loved Jesus, and in his answer, we believe and have seen Peter feed the flock of God. Many of us Pastors and teachers have started out the same way and have said they will feed the flock “The Church”, but I am afraid that many have become Ecclesiastical pimps!
Ecclesiastical pimps are those that feed the flock of God with Spiritual crack, those that have gone back fishing , and those that are lazy and unwilling to teach the whole truth of Gods word.
This is the reason why we see so many Skinny sheep in the community, they have received Spiritual crack from those ecclesiastical pimps and are now addicted to this deadly addiction which causes them to be so skinny.
The effects:
1. Spiritual weight lost 2. Inability to recognize truth 3. A thirst for tradition 4. Lover of man 5. A defection in there walk Remember thy look like sheep, but instead of saying “BAA” they say “HEY HAW”
So because of the crack, they sound like mules!

Evangelist,
Wow spiritual crack addicts.... or spiritual whack addicts... same thing to me. Call me old fashioned, but I love a spiritual home cooked meal:
Prayer, the bible, me and the Holy Spirit. "Come over here, where the table is spread and the feast of the Lord is going on....

WOW! It's the truth anyhow. My brothah my entire ministry was birthed out of this particular scripture. The name of my ministry is Feed My Sheep Ministry. I started the ministry over 10 years ago. The main core of the ministry is HBBF (Home Base Bible Fellowship), which we are about to start again in May. It's amazing how we fing soooo many aclaimed Christians in the church on Sunday morning but the God they serve at church they keep locked up at church. No diferent than the ones who worship idols and lock them back up in a lock box in the wall. Good worship at church but hell at home. You are on the right track my dear brothah. I have so much to say on this topic but you'll have to read the book when I'm done...lol. God bless you Evangelist Wilson.

| Pastor C., Knew I was not going to get allot of Amen's on this one, but the truth is the truth and I am happy that no matter how few the Amen's the truth must go out! Thank you and I am glad to be in fellowship with you! I am making a booklet on this topic as well. I look forward to reading and teaching yours. Smile. |

| I really enjoyed this one. You know with all the recent encounters, the flock in low on nourishment. They need all the food they can get. They need all the meals that they can handle. What a good message, and hopefully it will encourage others to get back to the basics. The word! Good one baby!!! |
Ma- your right, I have to preach and right what God tells me to, even if People act like they don't hear! Gina- Baby I know it's this is tight! but I know its right! Restore- Toes , feet and head! All people can say is Oh,me!, Amen, or Ouch!
I do not say things to be mean, I only say things to awaken People, making them aware. In-fact I am saying things that allot of people want to say but are afraid. |

I stand with you dear Bro! You came out with a shotgun and a IV bag. Shooting the overseers and nursing the poor guinea-pig/mule/sheep. I got your back, I pray that those sheep be released from spiritual pimpage and thier leaders become lost and mute because of the deception for the sheep. Where is the ethics of the men and women of God that allows sin to penetrate the lives of them that are already lost. We also should be a shamed for not destroying the works of these leaders of deception, we too must call them out. We must let them know that if they don't teach truth that we will enterceed on behalf of the people and the Spirit of God when we have been taught by Jesus to discern the evil workings of the them that manipulate them that seek God thru His Son. This too is thick, but it is true. Love ya Bro...

| Dude! Outstanding blog. This makes me glad I added you to my friends list. I am going to send everyone else a note to stop on by and give you a read and a star. Spiritual Crack!!! I am going to use that for sure, that is a great observation! I wonder what Joel Osteen would say about that? Hey Joel, did you know you are a spiritual pimp and spiritual crack peddler??? DUDE! |
| Bro Little- Talk about "great observation" Dude! Yours is a great one too! Smile! |
| Yeah...I'll be "borrowing" that one soon...Hey Little...you think that phrase may show up at camp? |
| OK, I should have read this blog first to help me understand your latest blog. It's true. I mean, there is nothing wrong with certain "traditions." It's just when we exalt those traditions above God that they become a bad thing. And like that saying goes; "Relationship, not religion." |

I am hearing you loud and clear brother Keith!
As a former crack addict, I can relate on a very deep level to the point you are making here. For some of these very reasons you have mentioned, I have become a self-feeding sheep. I have found the bread of life and will never go hungry again!
Keep preachin' on my friend! Lots of people need to hear this! |
| LOL Michael! I knew I would find another former crack head, Addict out the bunch who would get this and relate the spiritual. God bless you brother.and I will keep prechin it. |
| Powerful and true!!! God continue to keep us hungry for your word so that we can give fresh manna to the sheep and not be ecclesiastical pimps feeding spiritual crack!!! |

So many pastors and teachers are into preaching feel good sermons and not a true and devout love for Christ. Why is this? It is to keep the numbers up and the money coming. Preaching the uncompromised Word of God is not what so many in the church want to hear. There are not too many out there who want to live by God's standards. And far too many want to be in Vogue and live by man's ever changing standards.
Keep feeding the sheep my brother with God's unchanging Words and meaning. I am not a believer in man's interpretation of the Word of God needing to change with the times.

We need to be fed solid truth; the kind of truth that will enable us to reach out be able to feed others.
I've never had crack or any of that stuff, so I'm naive about THAT, but I do know truth. This was extra great! |

| Thanks Joey! I like that Sheep running for the Shepherd. Amen |

| But to frank: Those sheep that you speak of are so skinny because they are lost. WE need to find them, and feed them the Lords food. |
This gives a whole new meaning to "crackhead" and "crackbaby" doesn't it? We have a bunch of crackheads birthing spirtual crackbabies! One of Satan's greatest tools is mixture. He loves to sow discord, sow seeds of doubt, sow delusion, sow error into the lives of God's people. There is a spirit of truth and a spirit of error. When we mix our own opinions and traditions and bias into the Scriptures we have 1/2 truths which really isn't truth at all. I think manyt Pastor's and teachers which you define as "pimps" are really co-dependent and creating co-dependent followers. The pastor needs the people to need him, so he can get his "high" and the people need the pastor to meet all their needs so they can get their "spritual high" and the cycle goes on, yet no one is growing in the grace and knowlege of our our Lord Jesus Christ. But, before we go pointing fingers, let's crack down on the crack dealers and clean up the church for the glory of God, by speaking the truth in love and standing for righteousness. Choosing not to sell out , or to become like the world so that we may grow bigger and more powerful and profitable. Amen, Brother, God bless! |
Brother To- Thank you for your comment "it is full of wisdom". But I do have to say that we are "not pointing fingers" we are "just pointing it out" so that all will know what is truth , who is truth, and can recognize truth from error. |

Yup.. ya gotta realize 1) Any good name will be hijacked by mankind to legitimize selfish goals of the hijacker 2) The masses want to live their lives and feel justified by something measurable that others can see and nod their head and say 'he's one of the good ones!'. This..is a formula for all we see in the ice cold 'church' imposter groups of today. Those who humble themselves before God are the church. He sees them. No physical walls define 'church'. When they gather 2 or more of them, there is he among them. It's so great to have found some people who just want to have simple meetings in homes. To see the kids grow towards the lord in those environments without all the complexity, twisting of scripture etc. |

Wow, Evangelist Wilson! This is awesome! I see just what you mentioned here, "spiritual crack heads" in the church! Every sunday, i to encourage folks to praise the Lord in true holiness and look past those material things. Yes, God gave them the ability to get those things but that is more reason to give Him the praise and not themselves, as Oprah is now teaching the lost to do! Great blog! Evangelist Cookie |

I agree with you. I would perhaps alter the analogy somewhat. Crack is a modern drug not a traditional one, so I would say that might represent modern fads, such as the health-wealth fad pushed by televangelists. Perhaps I would say that tradition is mouldy old food, that is equally unhealthy.
I also agree with you that too many Christians do not talk as tho they know Jesus. They use the language of the health-wealth crowd, or the traditionalists, but don't speak of Jesus as a personal acquaintance. An excellent point and well said. I suppose it behooves us to make sure that we know Jesus, so that our speech reflects that too. 7:22 On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?' 7:23 And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you evildoers.'
