Today In England it at last felt like summer had arrived. It wasn't particularly warm ( around 60o C) but the sun was shining and the atmosphere had an air of pleasantry about it. The past few weeks have been so dark, dreary and solemn that I suspect the suicide rate per month would have probably been on the increase. I admit myself that without the love of God in my life I too would have felt like throwing in the towel. As I said today was much better, It gave a purpose to getting out of bed and doing something. It really has been horrible weather here for eight to ten weeks.
Last week we had a glimmer of sunlight and my mate Colin was at my home doing a favour for me. We were both very surprised at the sudden burst of sunlight and both being born again bikers as well as born again Christians. We decided to uncover the trikes, Michelles and mine. Colin brought his car onto my garden and we got a set of jump leads and started up both trikes (which had been idle for about seven months) It was pure joy to hear the engines purring like a couple of kittens. I will probably recieve an ASBO from the local council after the neighbours complain? but I can live with that.
Back to today. Colin phoned me up about mid day to see if I wanted to go for a ride out on the bikes. He has a two wheeler, A Honda 650 4. Of course I do was the reply. Colin soon turned up at my house (I knew he was here five minutes before he arrived, his bike is loud). I was dressed in my bikers gear and ready to mount "Suzi" (my trike). Michelle had work to do so decided to stay home.
Imagine the scene, My tattooed friend dressed in leather wearing a goatie beard and leather bandana, me in my wheelchair, leather boots bandana and tattooes climbing onto an 850 Suzuki trike and He on his Honda...we must have looked a daunting pair. We rev up the bikes and blast off into the sunset, dust trailing behind us. Out in the country within five minutes.
Twenty minutes later we are at the side if our bikes, heads bowed in prayer and thanking God for a safe journey and allowing us to enjoy His country. Two and a half hours later we are back on my front garden parking up the bikes. Most of my neighbours are "coffin dodgers" ( very miserable) and complete atheists, they are not aware that two of Gods sons had just been for a pleasant ride in the country and thanked our creator for His love and creation. To them we were a pair of middle aged hooligans out to make mayhem.
Looks can be deceiving.
love Stu. |

Awesome! I really want another bike!! I had in-laws that lived in Dumpsey Stump, Chertsey Surrey right on the Thames River for about 6 yrs up until early in 2007 when they were relocated to Cypress.
I had the chance to come visit with my wife back in 2002. I really enjoyed Britain! We went to Scotland while we were there...I could see myself living there some day. |

| What a great day to enjoy all that our Heavenly Father has blessed us with - if only we would take the time to look around us. So many are so busy and do not even realize what is right in front of our eyes. I am so happy you had such a great day! |
