| By George, it's Springtime |
|
| |
Two beautiful Cardinals graced me their presence this afternoon, and I felt a sense of lightness and happiness in my soul.
I was sitting in my usual spot in the back yard, and Maddie was me. I was giving thanks to God for all He blesses us with, and praying for many people. A thought crossed my mind... Lord, it can't much better than this. God, a Texas woman, her dog and an ice cold glass of water. Yup, that's the ticket. What's it like down your way? |

Amen to that. I saw my little sister last month; I didn't want to let go of her. She lives up in the Panhandle on the farm we grew up on. |

| Joey it has been so miserable here in England but at last we are getting some sunshine and moderate temperatures, not exactly warm but I can live with "cool" as opposed to the bitter cold damp weather we had for months and months! I went on the trike yeterday 1st time this year. God Bless you dear, love Stu. |

Stu! I'm so glad for you! I know that you've missed that...
An update on my side of the weather: We're in for more severe storms this evening. Please pray for those living in the Dallas/Forth Worth Metroplex. Thunderstorms, with Tornadoes and large hail. Lord, please protect your children. |
|
|
| Praise the Lord for those times with the Lord, How great it is when we can see all the beauty he shows us. |
|

That's awesome Joey!
It's the simple pleasures in life that I love!
I miss watching cardinals in my back yard. In fact, I miss having a back yard. I live in a concrete world here in Atlanta. But the weather has been gorgeous and thankfully we do have some wonderful parks and recreation areas.
Bless your heart my friend! |

Here in north central Alabama it's beautiful. I think it got up to 81 or so yesterday. Another beauty expected today (maybe a shower or two). I think the older I get, the prettier any day gets ! As Tiny Tim said in "A Christmas Carol", "God Bless us, everyone". |

| I've had to fill my two bird feeders twice already...those greedy birds! It's like they starved all winter just to gorge on my stuff! Here in NC, it's cool, it's warm, it's cool, it's warm. Today it's warm late 70's. Isn't God's creation great? |

It's a beautiful 77 degrees, after the rain, here in Arkansas. Praise the Lord, no winds nor tornadoes with this rain :) As I sat praying this morning, overlooking all the green and all the beautiful flowers, I thought about what a perfect artist God is and that HE painted it allllllllllllllllllllllll for me to enjoy......I praise you, Lord!!!!!!!!! |
|
|
It is Rain, wind and mud around here. :) The temperature is WONDERFUL and the air smells so fresh and sweet! Oklahoma in the spring.... The boys and I had to meet a semi today that was delivering a load of perennial rye grass and couldn't make it down the country roads to Larry's parents' ranch. The truck driver and his wife had the prettiest-faced dog. He was a HUGE dog -- had some fancy name -- but was sort of a cross between a Bloodhound and a Bull Mastiff. What an adorable face! (Kinda like a Boxer) The trucker's wife was telling me that he LOVES to travel and is a wonderful companion in the truck. How fun is that? God's creativity in dogs alone is doggone amazing! :) |

So it seems that we're enjoying a variety of weather and converation all over the world.
GrammyB: What I would take for a dog like that! God is a genius when it comes to animals!!
Cindy: It's really greening up here, but I don't have flowers yet. Don't put them out until May 1st.
Lara and Megan: Ya'll some gloves and warm scarves!! Better yet, move to good old Texas !!
Stu: You know it gets stodgy there! Don't ya'll have alot of mildew in England? |

Wonderful! It smells so good outside! I was just out thinking of what I'm going to put out in my side bed. It gets the morning sun, but you KNOW it get so hot here. I love planting and nursing them along.
I may just borrow my friend't tent this year and have Greg set up this blow up thing and camp out there. I string up lights and stuff, and have music playing - hey! I can even talk to ya'll out there. I'll be a monkey's uncle.
The sad, sad thing is that I have no little one to camp out with me... maybe Jack! I need to call Abbie! |

As far as the weather goes, it's sunny and windy, here on the last day of April, 2008. Greg got out front and worked on some shrubs, but he has faaaaaaaaaar to go. Maddie is loving this weather. Greg put bones in her Christmas stocking and she still has some left. He pulled on out for her and she's been carrying with her whever she goes. Needless to say, she has that bone out in the backyard with her. She's been rolling around on her back like a puppy, smiling with happiness. I say, good for her!! |
|
|
I think my neighbors would call the "funny farm" on me if I started rolling on the ground in the backyard with a bone. lol And my Christian friends would try to get me deliverance. lol I will be praying about the insurance, though I am not sure what's happening there. Ppl here complain about having to wait 5, 6 or more hours to see a doctor FOR FREE in the emergency, and it's like, what are we complaining about? Or you can't get a family doctor for a very very long time (I can attest to that; I only got one after I had Josiah cuz he needed one), but I praise God for how blessed we really are. I couldn't afford it. Well, God would look after me. Just like He will you! |
|

On the weather side of life, it's just outstanding today. We both worked outside, or rather Greg did most of it. I can't believe how quickly my knees and ankles swell! I did get 7 babies pulled up from various spots to move over to my side bed. I have three planted and need to get the rest done. Have to rest, ya know.
We were supposed to have rain today. Not one drop. I'm thankful that Greg got his work done. He's a good man, my Greg. |
