Take My Life Pastor Zakk Luke 1:26-35 - How do you think Mary felt about what she was just told?
-honored -scared -excited -unworthy - Mary became pregnant with the will of God, for all mankind!
-When a woman becomes pregnant, there are certain things that must change. -what you eat, where you go, who you are around, how you sleep -She can’t ride the roler coasters, and bumper cars anymore. -Her total concern is now, the proper growth of the child. -She had to make a complete change in her life in order to correctly fulfill this calling. -What about after the baby is born? - At what point did she think about the cost?
-She had to lay down her whole life\\not just some, ALL -How much are we willing to lay down for the call of God? -How far will you go? -How much are you willing to go through? - Do you realize that as a Christian and through the Holy Spirit (v.35) you will or have already become pregnant with something.
-It could be a vision, a passion, a desire, a calling, etc… -Are you living your life as someone who is pregnant with a calling? -Or are you too busy to lay down your life for the child to be born!? -Have you ever given your life to Christ? -Did you give it all, or are you giving it in pieces? -Are you an Indian giver? Did you totally surrender your life at one time, but you’ve taken it back lately and forgot about the gift that you carry around? |
