Complaining does have to be in the form of words. However I am guilty of doing it constantly about one thing or another. I have a teenager son who has likeness of shoes just like me or it could be that he has this cool dad who has the latest sneakers to wear at my disposal. I often complain to my self that if I let him wear them they are going to come back dirty. This shouldnt be. Period. I figured after praying that this could be my one connection to connect to my teenage son about shoes. I use to complain to my mother when I was a kid, that how can a only child not have the latest like my friends who had many in their family? I have the means to provide and let my son become who he is and not complain that he will not take care of something that belongs to me. This piece is fitting for me today because God has shown me through what you wrote not to  complain about my little situation over keeping a material item clean. The shoes truly do not belong to me but to God who bless me to have and share. I will not complain about my situation but I will praise God.

When we get into the attitude of positivity God will open your eyes to see things. Complaining brings stress, negativity and takes out away from God. Don't give in to what the devil wants. Jesus is the Reason.

Thank you Lord for opening our eyes. I will not complain.

A-men! Dr. Woods

Your blog reminds me of a song a dear Bishop use to sing he passed on now, But the song still blesses me everytime I think about it. The song I won't complain...it goes someying like this...I had some good days, and I had some hills to climb,I had my weary days and my weary nights." But when I think it over...My good days out weighs all of my bad days...So I'll say thank you Lord, I won't complain...Sometimes my clouds are low, I ask the Lord to see them go, I ask the question...Lord why so much pain? "But the lord he knows best for me, although my weary, weary, eyes can't see...so I'll say thank you Lord I won't complain.

Gods been so good to me, The Lord has been so good to me...More than this old world could ever be, He's been so good to me...He wiped my tears away and turned my midnight into day...So I'll say thank you Lord....I won't complain... Peace Preachergirl

Food for thought.  Without a complaint - your vision will perish.  Its a deep dissatisfaction of the way things have become, and without and enemy - your present is permanent.

So without a complaint and the motivation to do something about it, nothing will get done.  So yes, I am guilty as the next one for complaining, but its a positive complaint to do something about it.  Hows that for a food for thought?

Gone roaming- I disagree with somethings you said. I do not feel that complaining brings you motivation. Complaining gets us no more fast. We should be following Jesus example. Did He complain? Did He complain when they beat him? Did He complain when they put nails in His feet and hands? Did He complain when they nailed Him to the cross? So how do we even have the right to complain. Jesus didn't. Even in our complaining He still blesses us.

This is exactly what our pastor has been preaching about.  We should speak life not death.  When we constantly complain it brings not only ourself down, but others around us as well.

Complaing can definitely become a habit if we are not careful!  We should make praise and thanksgiving the habit to have instead!

   Dr. Tameka,

I need to say right on, When we complain we are telling Jesus that He is not doing His job. We are no happy with our lives as there are. Our life is just what we make it, God wants for us to have it a     if we can handle it. What we have is what we can handle with out any trouble and stay close to Him.  He will never give us to much. We would never admit it but if we had everything we wanted where would that leave God. when you don't need something then why go looking for it.Jesus dose know us better then we will admit we know ourselves.Life is to short to think we don't need Jesus and that my friend is where we would be, NOT needing Him or so we would think. I'm afraid that when He gave us our freedom we carry it much farther then Jesus planed. If we are real honest with ourselves we would have to admit we fall far short of what   Jesus  wants from us.  God is a jealous  God He will except nothing less then all, He dose not    want part of our lives. But for me , my life is His. So think it over and see where you are with Jesus.

Your friend in Christ                                                                                                                 Robert Olson Sr.
