to delve into the lemon
to cut it down the middle
my mouth waters at the thought.

i make my way towards the sunshine fruit
with the knife and i begin to cut...

'SLISH'

right through the center
the tart juices spill out and invade the counter top
its tangy scent teases my senses
as i am tempted to bite right into it
and absorb the luscious flavors in my mouth.

squinting my face
as my eyes water from its sourness
its bitterness
its lovliness
i do just that.
my mouth watering
i drop the lemon.

such a beautiful fruit are lemons.
