| Church Events Revitalized |
|

Yes it's true. Most weeks we spend our time fixing bugs, answering e-mails, playing thumb war.. but these last 2 weeks were different. We locked the doors, sat everyone down, and worked merrily to revamp your entire: Church Calendar and Events It really is out with the old and in with the new. New designs, new "30 boxes" month view, new repeating events system, and much more. And of course with any new development, there may be some bugs (hopefully not a lot). But if you are one of the lucky few that find one, please let us know so we can go and squash that bug like there's no tomorrow. And of course we always appreciate your awesome feedback. So, go! Run like the wind and post a new church event. Don't wait. That upcoming church picnic, Mother's Day luncheon, or special worship concert needs to be on your church calendar ASAP. MyChurch shall be without awesome church events no more. |

| Cool change! Something else that would be fantastic in the events: Is there a way to make an event repetitive with the option of skipping certain dates? For example, we have a Bible Study every Wed. evening except for the first Wed. when we have a missions emphasis. So I have to re-enter the event for each month to make it leave out that one. Thanks for all the hard work that is always going on!!! |

Can't wait to get in there and check out the changes! |

The calendar to me is one of the most useful features!! The only problem i had before was that wehn I tab to the next box, it doesn't go straight into the text box- it goes through all the formatting buttons. AARGH! And, having to enter a description- what if the event title and description is the same- typing it twice is annoying. Other than that, LOVE IT! Thanks! |

| Great! looking forward to giving it a look. |

I love it. I use it almost everyday for our church events. Actually it is one of the places where I spend more of my time ;-) The new format is just so much easier "user friendly". Thank you for always trying your best to help us serve our members with excellence.
A job well done guys!!!! Thank you! |

| Thanks for providing this great tool. May the Lord bless your socks off. |

| I tried to edit an event that is dated May 10, 2008 and it wouldn't update it. It kept saying that it cannot update an event in the past. So, judging by this...i'm not sure I like the new format...lol. |

OK...I got it to work...I changed the time and date and then it accepted it.
Since I am our church's moderator and I am the only one who posts events, I find it very irritating to have to physically go in to each and every event that I posted and accept it. Can't you put like boxes next to the events so that I can check them off and just hit one button to accept? That would help a lot since I post a lot of events at once. Also, could you please explain to me how come there is a choice of 14 months...I thought there was only 12....am I missing something?!?! Thanks for all your hard work and dedication! |

Debi,
From your church's moderate page, you can edit your settings, so that there is no approval needed when posting events.
For the monthly settings, it is not suggesting that there are 14 months, but that you can post an event to repeat every 1-14 months. |
