The Jarman Opry

Would you like an afternoon or evening night of good, clean entertainment?  Then plan on being at the Jarman Opry in New Bern this Saturday, May 3rd at 2:00pm or 7:00.  Bring the family, too.  Tickets are cheap, just $10 each (sold at fuller's Music in New Bern, or ask Ed) or $12 at the door.  Call 636-6225 for more info and ticket availability.

The Jarman Opry is has been performing to sell out crowds at the Masonic Theater in New Bern for a couple of months now.  They play "classic country, gospel and a little bluegrass" says Herb Humphries, owner and operator of the Opry.  Check out their website www.thejarmanopry.com and invite everyone to come and enjoy the evening.

I went to the website to see if they sell CD's.  I didn't see anything.

Hey Joey!
They sell a few CD's on the night of the Opry show.  I actually work with the owner of the Opry, Herb Humphreys, and because they are a new event in our town they don't have any CD's from the Opry shows yet.  Check back, he said, they are trying to gear up for recording the shows.

In the meantime, Herb is getting hold of a two-song CD that was recorded while he was at the Carolina Opry.  He should have those for sale by next month.  I asked him to put the announcement in the website, so check back.  If all else fails, I'll ask him for titles and send them to you myself.  Just a thought.
