| MY ENCOUNTER WITH A RED TAIL HAWK |
| |
" TODAY I HAD AN ENCOUNTER WITH A RED TAIL HAWK. MY HUSBAND WAS SCOOPING UP A LOAD OF BLACK MULCH, WHEN HE NOTICED FEATHERS IN THE MULCH. SUDDENLY HE REALIZED THAT A RED TAIL HAWK HAD BEEN BURIED ALIVE IN OUR 80 YARDS OF MULCH HERE AT OUR STORE. WE WERE ALL AMAZED & THOUGHT HOW CRAZY IT WAS THAT IT WAS IN THERE. SHE WAS ALIVE, BUT VERY WEAK. WE WERE ABLE TO THROW A COAT OVER HER AND PUT HER IN A CAGE UNTIL THE DNR GOT THERE TO TAKE HER. WELL, I WAS TALKING WITH MY FRIEND RITA, AND SHE ASKED IF I THOUGHT GOD WAS TRYING TO SPEAK TO ME. I SAID, "WHY YES!'. DID YOU KNOW THAT IT IS AGAINST THE LAW TO KEEP THESE BIRDS? EVEN A FEATHER KEPT COULD RESULT IN A FEDERAL CRIME AND PRISON TIME COULD BE SERVED. A COUPLE OF THINGS COME TO MIND ABOUT THIS BIRD. ONE IS THAT THIS BIRD GOT CAUGHT IN AN ENVIRONMENT THAT WAS NOT SAFE. LUCKILY SHE SURVIVED, BUT SHE WAS HURT BADLY. SOMETIMES WE CAN GET OURSELVES IN TO SOME BAD SITUATIONS AND COME OUT HURT. THE SECOND THING THAT CAMET O MIND IS THIS. YOU HAVE HEARD THE STATEMENT, "BIRDS FLY IN FLOCKS, BUT EAGLES FLY ALONE", RIGHT? WELL, A HAWK IS VERY CLOSE TO AN EAGLE. BOTH BIRDS ARE FAIRLY RARE, AND KEEPING EITHER IS A CRIME. MY POINT IS THIS, SOMETIMES WE TRY TO HOLD EACH OTHER BACK, FROM GOING FORWARD IN TO A NEW AREA. FOR WHATEVER REASON, FEAR, SELFISHNESS, JEAOLUSY, ETC. IT WOULD BE A CRIME IN THE EYES OF GOD TO HOLD THIS PERSON BACK FROM FULFILLING THEIR DESTINY. WHAT I GOT OUT OF THIS, WAS GREATER ENCOURAGEMENT TO PLEASE GOD AND NOT MAN. TO BE AN EAGLE FOR THE LORD, AND NOT LET ANYONE HOLD ME BACK. THANKS FOR LISTENING. THIS IS RATHER FAST TYPING, CUZ I AM A BIT BUSY, BUT WANTED TO SHARE. SORRY FOR TYPOS OR IMPROPER SENTENCES MISS BIRDIE! LOL! |

| Wow Shannon that is cool. Also the encouragement you need concerning the changes happening in your life ??!!?? That should be confirmation right. Good analogy's too. We have had them in our back yard several times. I've been getting pics of them too. Now I'm going to give that some thought on why I've had them in my yard, did I miss a lesson? God is so good isn't He??!! |

| I don't live to far from you. Well lets face it Indiana just aint that big a state. I've only seen a few red tail's. And the only Eagles I've seen have been over in Illinois. They are both amazing birds. What the Bible says about eagles in deuteronomy is just awsome. |

FRIENDS! I WAS LAYING IN BED LAST NIGHT TALKING TO TK ABOUT THIS HAWK. HE KEPT FEELING SOMETHING FROM THE LORD ON THIS TOO! SUDDENLY I REMEMBERED A CONVERSATION I HAD WITH DR. THOMAS THE DAY PRIOR. HE WAS TALKING ABOUT SOME PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN HIDDEN FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS. THIS HAWK WAS HIDDEN IN A HUGE PILE OF MULCH, BUT FOUND AND SET FREE AT SUCH A TIME AS THIS. YES ROSIE, I HEARD THEIR WAS A HWAK ON THE FRONT PAGE OF THE NEWS PAPER YESTERDAY. I ALSO HEARD AN EAGLE WAS HIT BY A CAR IN VEVAY THIS WEEK. I SENSED THE LORD SAYING, "I AM SETTING ME EAGLES FREE! RISE AND SHINE FOR THE GLORY OF THE LORD IS UPON THE FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS!" |
| Yes Rita! That is exactly what I was sensing too!!! |

Shan,
I immediately saw the correlation between you, TK and the hawk. You have no doubt heard of having a hawk eye. I believe this is definitely a sign for you to keep your eyes wide open and spread your wings and fly. There is no question that God allowed you to experience this rare bird. You and TK are rare kinds of birds, unique and called for such a time as this. Do not let anyone deter your promotion. While you have been hidden and tucked away, God has orchestrated your deliverance and your time is here to soar. Did you remember that our new slogan for our church is "Come soar with us!" The Agreement Center, Soaring on the wings of worship.
Love you,
DR |

As I was reading yor blog here, I was reminded of this passage of scripture:
113:4 The LORD [is] high above all nations, [and] his glory above the heavens. 113:5 Who [is] like unto the LORD our God, who dwelleth on high, 113:6 Who humbleth [himself] to behold [the things that are] in heaven, and in the earth! 113:7 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, [and] lifteth the needy out of the dunghill; 113:8 That he may set [him] with princes, [even] with the princes of his people. Your little bird had no strength to fight his way out of the dung. But the Lord saw his plight and brought him out--put him into the hands of someone who would strengthen him and release him to soar! With this bird--notice there is a process involved in getting him ready to fly. He had to be pulled out, and placed into the right hands. I do believe that the Lord is speaking prophetically in this--so keep seeking Him, because He's going to prepare you to go through a process of refining your gifts. Love you Shan! |

It seems like there are "messages" almost everywhere, if we look. Thanks for sharing this with us.............. |

| Shannon this is awesome, so thought provoking. I agree messages are everywhere we just have to be in tune with the message giver Himself. Get our radar sharp to pick up all those signals that daily life would distract us from. This is really exciting. |
| That is absolutely amazing, Shannon!! (Great picture too!) |
| Thank you Paul, Deb, & Mike for your wonderful comments! |
| My son Cody pointed out another characteristic of the hawk. A hawk covers a large area & dominates it. So, I see EXPANSION! God giving us EXPANSION & increase! Yippeee! |

| A family friend recieved a red tail hawk into her shelter at about the time of your incident. It wasn't yours. Yours probably went to the national shelter in Louisville. |
