If I were a weed, I'd want to be a dandelion........they are resilient, they can survive in a crack of cement, they spread easily..........think I'll be a "good" weed......be resilient, survive the roughest conditions with God's grace and spread His word like they spread their seeds :)

I'm more than a bloom--I'm a garden full of good stuff!  Praise God!  Right now, I'm just flowers, but God is helping fruit of the Spirit grow in  and through me.  Thanks, Doyle for a cool post.  Keep on blooming and sharing the fragrance of Christ!

I have been both a weed and a bloom. What struck me in this blog that a tomatoe in a corn patch would be a weed in a corn field.Been doing lots of thinking about busyness choking out our relationship with God.You can be so busy blooming for Jesus, serving in every way you can think of,and if you're doing stuff God hasn't asked you to do,all that serving can be like a weed(tomatoe)in teh corn field because you've replaced time spent with God with service in things He hasn't asked you to do.You're choking teh life out of your relationship with God(no time4 Him),and you're choking the person that God has intended for the job you've taken on w/out even consulting God.Great blog Doyle.

Hey man, I'm lookin around and I see all these little flowers calling themselves weeds....what's up w/that? Ok, so we're taking a little longer to bloom than we'd like or expect....but I am confident it will come! Just need more water....  ("the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." -John 4:14)

Great blog, Doyle!!

I have never seen a plant change into another different plant.  Who told you that you are a weed? A good tree CAN NOT turn into a bad tree and bring forth bad fruit. A Bad Tree CAN NOT turn into a Good Tree and bring forth Good Fruit. This is what Jesus said. The Devil says it is possible. Jesus said it was not possible. Maybe we need to listen to Jesus before we accept the voice that says : a plant can change from good to bad, and from bad to good.

We are the offspring (sprout) of a good tree. Religion seems to say differently, based on day to day events and carnal facts.

I was a bloom in the beginning, then turned into a weed, and until I accepted the engraftment offered by Jesus, who Himself, was the great seed that fell into the earth (even within this earthen vessel) and died to bring forth many. I wouldn't know a weed from a bloom, without having been both. Now His seed within, is growing fed abundantly in the Living waters. The ground within the womb of my heart was overturned..and all of the creepy crawlies came runnin' out! lol :D
