| Modern version Bibles the Christian & Political Correctness |

It seems that today in the Christian World you are not deemed to be aware or on the cutting edge unless you quote from one the many variant modern versions of the bibles. The choice is endless, with newer versions replacing previous ones almost on a weekly basis.
Most modern preachers stand behind his or her pulpit with at least two bibles to quote from (some though only have a modern per-version to read from). They will never come right and say that their faithful old AV 1611 King James Bible is in error or has a mistake in it; but they will intimate it by claiming that a particular passage means something other than what the AV 1611 King James is saying.
(This thought just came to me as I am writing this, how many preachers that are quoting from a New Modern version ever say something like; a better word would have been or in the original language, it means this, in comparison to how many reading a AV 1611 King James scripture say these kind of things.)
They do this in a couple of ways.
1. They will say this word in this passage means in the original language thus or thus, (something other than what is penned in the 1611 AV King James).
2. They will say, “a better word would have been thus or thus".
This puts the local or high profile preacher in step with other preachers that are doing the same thing (politically correct bible usage). The problem is there is a subliminal message to the everyday Christian, that message is, I cannot trust my AV 1611 King James Bible, as it is full of miss translations and errors.
Many Christians will now believe that they have to have one of the new modern bibles. After all some may reason, my pastor must think that the King James Bible has made mistakes in translating the words, and the new modern bibles must be up to date by the fact that he is using them as the last word on scripture reading, or he is correcting the KJB by using a lexicon. (On the other hand, politically correct).
This politically correct attitude has even made its way into the dialogue, or debate if you will, over the validity of modern versions. Some well meaning, yet deceived, Christians have completely closed their minds and their God given intellect and will not even consider looking into the issue. I pulled up a blog entitled ‘A Study of Bible Versions”. I was going to join in the dialogue but after reading the rules set up by the blogger, I found out that anyone that stood for the AV 1611 King James Bible was not even allowed to enter the dialogue. I was confused; I thought that it was a dialogue about Bible versions. I guess it was set up just to dialogue over which of the Modern per- versions was the most correct or should I say the least perverted.
I have found that some Christians will say to me that I only read the King James Bible. Nevertheless, very few of those that tell me that they read the King James only know anything about the perversions in the new modern bibles. Some have even said I read the King James only but I do not fault those that read some other bible. These people are like an ostrich that its head in a hole in the ground and does not want to see what is going on around them.
I recently approached a visiting pastor at my Church about what I was discovering in the modern versions. I was sharing a perverted passage that I found in the NIV, this was actually a missing scripture that is foot noted in a small-italicized script at the bottom of the page: This is the scripture that started my research into the Modern versions.
• Matthew 17:21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting. KJV.
• Matthew 17:21 In the NIV this is missing from the main body of the text, the text goes from 20 right to 22 with a small notation at the end of verse 20.
This was just one the many problems that I had found, when I shared this with him he looked at me in a defensive way and said, “ I read from an NIV , and by the way did you know that King James was a homosexual”. I was stunned to say the least it was as if he had given me a knock out punch. I had never heard that lie before and I had no research to debate it with him, so I just said, “Is that right”, and walked away. I soon found out that this pastor was the kind of pastor that liked to be like every body else, (politically correct).
Later I did the research and found the truth about the lie concerning King James that pastor had laid on me that night. It was in fact a lie fostered by one of King James’ enemies trying to discredit the AV 1611 Bible. (Do the research and you will find the truth just as I have done.)
Jesus Christ stood in his time on earth in opposition to the established religious political correctness of the day. But sadly we have very few preachers, pastors, etc. that have the back bone to stand against the tide of biblical political correctness that is flooding in, watering down and changing the very Spoken word of God.
My question to those all Christians: Do you have the back bone to look into this for yourself, or are you going to stand in the way of the scornful of the AV 1611 King James Bible, with out any first hand knowledge of your own?
Jesus Christ is watching. |
