Growing In Faith

Your spirit is crushed by being told that those that don't believe that Jesus, as God in human form, DIED to pay the debt for our sins?  No one here is making that judgement - it's not our place to judge that.  It's simply a statement of fact.

You're all over the place with your comments, which means 2 things - you're confused and you're searching.  Last post you said you were walking with the devil, and now you're saying that you believe in God as a being like "the force" from Star Wars or Native American beliefs.

God doesn't send anyone to Hell.  Our sins are what does it.  We are convicted, just like in a court of law, of offending God.

Does your god not act that way?  Does your god not judge?  Of course not - your god doesn't exist.   You're making a god in your image.  (see my blog on customizing your god).  Of course the idea of hell is uncomfortable - it should be!  But to play ostrich and assume that you wouldn't go there or that us warning you of the path your on is something 'soul crushing', well, if you were in a burning building I'd try to get you out - and that's what we're trying to do here.

Come on, I know that this hard for you guys to get, but did I judge you, no I did not, but you had judge me. I know that it is hard to get to see why things have happened like they have, but they have. I know that I said that I was a born again, but I had only said that to make it so you guys would leave me alone, but inside my heart I was lying to all of you about it and know I am begin crushed for telling what I really believe, tell me how that is fair?

Did you read my post?

No one is judging you.  I'm going to quote someone here:

The world often takes this verse out of context and uses it to accuse Christians of being "judgmental" when they speak of sin. In the context of the verse Jesus is telling His disciples not to judge one another, something the Bible condemns (Romans 14:10; James 4:11). In Luke 6:41,42 He speaks of seeing a speck in a brother’s eye. In John 7:24 He said, "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment." If someone steals, lies, commits adultery or murder, etc., the Christian can make a (righteous) moral judgment and say that the actions were morally wrong, and that these sins will have eternal consequences. Chuck Colson said, "True tolerance is not a total lack of judgment. It’s knowing what should be tolerated—and refusing to tolerate that which shouldn’t."

Sweetie,

Would you be willing to try something for me?  It's simple if you're willing to do it.  You know how much I care for you, and that I would never do anything to hurt you.

I do want to tell something:
There are people who believe in many different things; people who will tell you anything to win you over.  I've met people like that, and I was fooled once.  They call these people "wolves in sheeps clothing".  Oh, they are clever and handsome and ever so winsome.  But beneath the surface, you must look for the fruit they produce.  Is it good, or is it bad?  You must decide that for yourself.  For good people do not produce bad fruit.

I'm hoping with all of my heart that you are still praying.  There is one God, and He loves you more than you will ever imagine.  Before you write another blog, pray.  Relax somewhere, and just talk to God.  Tell Him how you're feeling.  Just like you're talking to us.  He listens to you, despite what you may you feel...  He is there.  He already knows what is going on with you, but He wants to hear your voice, He wants to feel your heart, because He is so loving.

Then... write another blog, keeping those thought in your mind.

Love,
Joey

I would encourage you to keep searching your heart for answers.  If you didn't care or at least want to believe in God you would have not reached out like this. I have changed my views 100 times over the years, it is good to search it out.  I would encourage you to study the person of Jesus, not by church people but look it up in history books and such.  Don't look at what others say so much as what Jesus has to say and who you think He is.  If you want someone to talk to about these things email me.  Bless you, and am praying for you.

Thank you Todd for your support, that is exactually what I am trying to do is trying to see Jesus as more then just what the scriptures say He is and same with God, but that was torn apart, how is that right?

Hi Megan - I was just reading your previous blogs, after reading this one.  Read the one you wrote "Lord I lift my friend to you.... this was beautiful and so full of love - and I believe it is still in your  heart.  We all get off the path at times in our life and I Pray that you will get into The Word, it is so comforting.  God loves you and we love you. Here is something from my Promise Book:
l
My Daughter,
I am not the author of confusion....Rather, I am the Shepherd of your soul  I desire to lead you, My sheep, into the green pastures of peace and confidence.  When you feel confused, come to Me and I will settle your mind until you can hear Me clearly again.  I can replace uncertainty with
wisdom, shine the light of truth on the situations in your life, and set you free to make good choices.   Love, God

Sister I won"t judge you in fact that is not my job! But I can tell you that I love you because Jesus loved me so much and He took all my sins away at the cross if not for that I be lost! He has came to me on so many times when there was no else.
5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 5:23 gentleness, self-control; against such there is no law.

4:19 We love, because he first loved us.

116:1 I love the LORD, because he has heard my voice and my supplications.

2:13 But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth. 2:14 To this he called you through our gospel, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Sister because He done all this for me even though I wasn't very loving to Him ,He called out by name and I love you He chose me and you To be his children. So that's my job to love you and I love doing it!
But I never judge you I'll stand with you and for you in prayer and love you.You can be a lost spirit because I know you and love you and be with in what your growing through. In the here and now!

Megan,

Do you have a Bible you can read?  The Bible tells us all about God and helps us understand just what God wants from each and every one of us. It also tells us how we are to love each other.

If you have a Bible, then I encourage you to read the book of John.  If you will read the book of John and post your thoughts here as you read it, I think it will help you communicate your heart to others.  Just a thought for you to consider.

"I feel in the core of my heart that God is much more then just a God,..."

This is a very intriguing statement, one that reflects a person who is attempting to come to grips with the difference between the God we've heard about and the God we've experienced.  Your post reminds me of an earlier time in my life when I just had the sensation that God and Jesus were both....out there.....far away.  In your experience, perhaps God has been far away, for whatever reason.  But for some reason, viewing God as the Great Spirit seems to give you a more complete view that more cleanly fits with your expectation of who God is.

This is all very good because you are reaching out to the God of all creation.  Scripture tells us that all of creation proclaims the Glory of God.  I often experience that when I'm out at a lake, when I'm on a moutain top or snorkling on a reef or viewing the depths of space from a telescope.

The Great Spirit is indeed in each one of us, and when we seek Him and desire only to follow Him, He acts through us.  You are on a path that will help you experience the Love of God because this path will help you see God on a personal basis: up close.  You have more opportunities to come to know Him as a friend now and to experience His Love, a Love that can completely transform you.

It was after I began to imagine Christ seated next to me in the car driving to work and talking with Him that I came to know Him as a friend.  I talked with Him as I would my best friend: I shared my joys, my fears, my doubts.  I praised Him when I saw the beauty of nature.

But I didn't actually experience Him until I stayed up one night to study all of the references on one of many topics I had compiled - communion.  I studied and studied until I finally gave up and cried out, "God, I believe what you're telling me.  I just don't get it."  The next time I received communion - I got it!  For the first time in my life, I finally met Christ face to face, personally.

A long story to encourage you to continue on your quest to find God, and to encourage you to continue reading scripture.  As you become friends with the Great Spirit and genuinely seek to know Him more, He will give you more understanding of scripture, which will help you know Him, love Him, and follow Him.

It's all about our own willingness to allow God to move in us and through us.

Megan, I've spent hours over the last few months leaving comments on your blogs and sending you messages, trying to lift your spirits and share simple truths from scripture about who you are and who God is. I pray deeply that you've sensed my heart of love for you. If you got a different impression, I beg your forgiveness.

Gene, Your comment describes exactually what I am going through and I hope that you will continue to support me as I try to find my own way with the Great Spirit to guide me. Love & light my friend.

You sure are awesome my friend and am thankful for your honesity my dear friend.

Mike, you have helped me out so much and I thank you for your help, but sometimes we have to find our own path. I am still a Christian, it is just in a spiritual sense and believe me it is hard to explain, plus you didn't do a thing wrong.

We all get off the path at times in our life , I know I did! I was so confussed for so so long, too long. It wasnt till I finally got tired of hurting, tired of what others thought. I read all the posts here and agree. I can't make you do anything, nor can I or will I  judge you. I know only through studing the word with many different bible versions and asking questions did I find the truth. I was feeling left out at church, which i blogged about, and with the help of those who replyed and trusting Jesus, I now walk in church with my head held high and I GO FOR ME, to get closer to God/Jesus, to grow . I am amazed at how i feel today. My past is of abuse, phycial , mental & sexual. I been in therpy, I am a recovering alcholic and it wasnt till I totally let go and Let Him in did my life begin to change. I had to do the footwork and stop listening to everone else. satan loves to decieve us.
I Pray that you will get into The Word, it is so comforting, rewarding.  God loves you and we love you. I am here for you and I am Praing you find your way!!!
Ive been healed Physically, Mentally & Spirtitually!!♥♥♥♥♥♥

Angel/megan

For once in your life...do what you believe and leave all the attachments behind you. There is nothing to fear but fear its self. Let nothing on earth control your mind. If God is a Spirit as you say and is all around you, allow Him to surround you and lead you. If God is God as you say, trust His Spirit to lead you.

Stop manipulating yourself. There is nothing to fear, but the mind of fear its self. God is Love and freedom. Jesus did not get along with the religious minded. They too told him that God wanted him to stay in an organized system.

My advice........God is wanting you to just let go of your belief system. It is this system that holds your mind and is the enemy of God. God does not run this Universe according to the way we believe. But the way we believe does in fact run our lives.

Let go and let God just BE without form or ideas or concepts and structures. The people around you will always tell you that you can be separated from God's spirit. Their intentions are good, but just lack the experience of being set free from organized belief systems. They still fear Love.

All there is is Love outside of the box your mind is in Megan. Creative Holy Spirit will never forsake you it will never allow anything to harm you......outside the box.

But inside the box  is nothing but manipulation and captivity.

Love can not fail you. Nor will it separate from You.  Now wake up and walk outside that box. If you don't like freedom you can always step back inside your little box of control.

p.s..... maybe it is your beliefs that are changing You.  :)

Peace..........

Kw.
