At least word is getting out this time. From what I gather, in the past, they kept this thing very quiet. It is the Olympics that made them make it public early so there are no surprises.

I wander how many Drs they have per capita.  We have quite a few of there Drs here in Terre Haute.

According to Wikipedia:  In the U.S, there were 2.4 doctors per 1,000 people in 2005; in Canada, there were 2.2.

The only reference I could find on China is here which states "an average of two doctors per 1,000 people." However, the key here is that half of them are trained in western medical practices (considered scientific) and the other half are traditional village doctors not trained in a university (most of which practice herbal remedies).
