| What do you think God seeks from us? |
|
| |
We are blessed every single second to have a loving, nurturing God. He provides everything we could possibly need. Take a moment and look around you. Look at nature, and the absolute beauty He has created just for us! Look at the crops, and then take a peek inside your pantry. If you have food you have bounty! I don't know about you, but throughout my lifetime, my family and friends and many people that I don't even know have gone through some very hard times. There is a common thread throughout each story. God always provided what they needed, through some form or fashion. I believe their faith and love for God brought them through the tough times. We give thanks for everything He does for us, for we could not do it alone. Praise God! He is always with us, morning, noon and night. A few years ago, I asked myself some hard questions. I was in a Bible Study, and one night I stayed late and went inside the Church to pray. I asked God, during my prayers to help me understand what it is that He is seeking from me. Over the course of the next week, I came up with a few things. To put God first in my life. Oh, my love for Him is unshakable! A loving relationship; continual prayer and thanksgiving To tell everyone about God, and how much He loves them! To be obedient to Him To become a better wife to my husband, and mother to my children To love everyone, and to nurture them To be forgiving, and to ask for forgiveness when I've hurt someone To strive to have Fruits of the Spirit instilled in me To give to those in need, and to pray for them Please add own thoughts if you feel called.
God Bless You, Joey |

"This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him." Am I that backwards?..... That we might live through Him, not as everyone else has it as: that He may live through us???? Like applying the Bible to our lives?????????? We apply our lives to HIS truth not accomodate His truth to our lives! Hmmmmmmmmmm. Blessings! |

Dave, I believe that about Him. I believe that He wants our love and affection more than anything. That we MUST have to put Him first, to love Him first, before we can do anything else right.
Doyle, you are just wonderful in your ways.
Ed, thank you for sharing. Good input.
Bubbles: Amen! |

Hey Joey... good thoughts. Here is mine, the not often heard or taught, what does God want from us answer: According to this verse,"I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me (and through me)... (Gal.2:20 - in part)." "If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you (Rom.8:9)." I think Jesus wants to live though our mortal bodies. But this faith concept must be believed is possible, for it to happen. However, what I have learned is, He doesn't do much when I sit on my hands, or stay comfortable in my own enviroment. I must be out confronting the world (pressed beyond measure), for much evidence of Him living through me to occur. I like this verse, it ties into the pressed beyond measure ingrediant, "we had the sentence of death in ourselves (Gal.2:20), that we should not trust in ourselves... but in God who raises the dead (2 Cor.1:9)." ~ And I would add and gives life to our mortal bodies. Just my two cents, R... |

Angel Spirit... it is between you and God. I always think of this. Who you are is God's gift to you. Who you become is your gift to God. Simply said, I think that means you have work to do. |

Hi Joey!
6:8 He has showed you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
What more could be asked of us?
Peace! |
