Easter reminds us of the price Jesus paid to free us from the deathgrip of sin. His resurrection gave us the hope of eternal life and the assurance that death has no power.  Eight months ago, I was seperated, by death, from the most precious, humble and anointed man of God, my dad and best friend, Rev. Richard M Thomas.  The pain has been at times almost unbearable and it has been hard to get through, but the pain is eased when I think that though we're seperated now, we're not seperated forever. Though the tears fill my eyes now, I wont cry tears of sorrow there. Though I bear the lonliness and void in my life from losing my dad here, we will be together there.

Through Christ's death and resurrection we can celebrate the victory won over death, Hell and the grave. I am encouraged today! My battles still rage, my work here is not done, but the victory is mine! I am encouraged! I am uplifted! I am strengthened for my journey here all because the victory was won by Jesus Christ!

Walk in Victory! Celebrate! Rejoice in the Lord! Hold your head up high and sing to the Lord a new song this Easter! We're more than mere flesh and bone, we're royalty through the price Christ paid on the cross!
