The above map is from National Geographic Magazine. It shows where the single men and women live in America. The orange dots mean more single women, the blue dots more single men.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I love New York City!
Check it out, the Mississippi River is almost the dividing line between single men and women.
With more women now going to college then men (58% of all college students) I'm not surprised to see more single women living in east coast cities where large corporate firms are located that offer white collar jobs.
Interesting map, Justin! There are now more unmarried people in the U.S. than married. And it looks like on the map Mickey Mouse is in my state (NC)., or is that the Easter Bunny?
Actually, in all seriousness I did hear that the reason the lower West Coast was high was due to the immigrant population...but honestly, I don't care what the reasons are...I'm moving west...
I found my wife in California and moved with her to DC...what does that mean? I do know there are a lot less women in the technical industries overall (although the number has grown over the years). By the way, a lot of the black dots seem to line up with military bases...
