20:12 Honor thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be long in the land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee.

Thank you for sharing your foundation with us, it's good when we recognize wo we are, and give those who made us honor. Your special, you've given us a glimps of how that happened.

What a beautiful woman she is.  You are blessed to have a mother like her, Kathy.  I really love that first photograph.  It's sort of.... romantic in a sense..

You remind me of Timothy in II TIM 1 where the faith that first lived in your Grandmother and Mother now live in you. We are so fortunate to have parents who loved the Lord.  I rejoice with you for you indeed have been given a great gift of love and wisdom.

One of the greatest tributes to your mother is the daughter she raised. She obviously did a wonderful job.

I can remember the days I used to say I will never do this or that "like my mother".  Thank God he had better plans for me and as I age I am more and more like her.  Wonderful tribute Kathy

I love old pix and histories. No matter how many High School Senior tributes I do, they all still amaze me as I watch God's work in their lives.

Beautiful family, Kathy!

You all could have been the Cleavers.  What a nice family.  I lost my momma when I was 24 years old ,. just about the time I became a mom.  It is hard to lose your mom no matter how old you are,
they are the glue that holds a family together.  Moms are special people.  God gave them the ability to love unconditionally , no matter what.  You are blessed to still have your MOM.  Thanks for the great post.

Thank you, Sue!  How are you?

Cheryl, Mother's Day is truly a difficult day for so many.  Thank you for reading my post, and for your kind comments!

Debbie, moms are indeed so very important in our lives, and I can only begin to imagine the pain you experienced at such a young age.

As for the Cleavers, every family that's made up of real people has its struggles, whether we can see them from the outside or not.  One of the saddest parts of family struggle is that we too often believe every other family is perfect and we are the exception,  I think the younger generations, thanks in large part to the internet, are doing a much better job of understanding others' issues, although, strangely, a much poorer job of coping with their own.

Your mom sounds exceptional.  She looks like a woman filled with love and great joy.  But hey--our joy does come out of giving of ourselves, and she most certainly does that!  what a blessing to have a mom like her! No wonder you turned out exceptional too. I don't mean that in a "flatter" way; I mean it sincerely.  Our parents are instrumental in who we become, right?  So it's a compliment to your mom.

This is a nice tribute to your mom, and I bet she loved it.
