Hey Voice - Great tune! I love songs about what God is. This is one of them. Better than those songs about what God's done for us. To Him be the glory. - Cathy's husband |

| What glorious Truth. For a very long time, I wondered if there were more to the scriptures concerning His glory being revealed through creation, the Earth being filled with His glory, etc. It certainly at that time was beautiful to behold, but I couldn't help but feel there was more. Out of the blue, one day as I was in abandoned worship, He lifted me out of myself & I was taken up into outer space. It had to be from that perspective, not to see, but to HEAR. I could hear so vividly, the breath of God in EVERYTHING that was made. Everything was a song unto Him, every movement, from the flutter of a bird's wing, tree leaves in the breeze, to the rotation of Earth itself & the movement of other celestial bodies. There are no words to describe the reverance that this experience ignited within me. I was in a "holy hush" for a week or so afterward, I just couldn't speak, and have never looked at or thought about the creation since without remembrance of His Holiness. LM |

Joe, I tend to agree with you. I think there is a place for those "what God has done for us songs" as we are entering into the gates, but once we pass through that ripped veil...well, "how Great is our God" is about all I can say...take the coal, cleanse my lips, here I am...
Delirious? has a wonderful worship song called Our God Reigns. Not one you can handle without being in a worship mood.
Thanks Little M, Kathy, and Cathy. He is holy. No rock will ever have to cry out for me! |

...take the coal, cleanse my lips, here I am... Man, where do I go... Firstly, a few years back i saw Sonic Flood in Garfield Park in Indianapolis, Here was this crowd, very, very mixed in Church affiliation, the lead singer stopped in the middle of a song and started to talk about how God was leading him to tell his testimony of how God healed him of Crohn's Disease. He then proceeded to have an altar call fro healing, Here we all were, Catholics, Methodist, Charismatics, Baptists, and every one else you can imagine, praying over all these people for healing. I mean tongue talking Pentecostals next to Baptists, but all in one accord, praying for these people. It was really a small glimpse into heaven. We take this thing for granted on MyChurch, but God is also moving in so many other areas, and Worship music is one of those places.
...take the coal, cleanse my lips, here I am...
I am so taken by this song, we start out doing this song, often, and then never really getting through the whole song, it's like we sing 'take me past the outer courts", and then end up in worship. I like to start the chord progression, and then just see where God leads it, I am always surprised ! I like being surprised in worship, I really do ! |
