The Holly Spirit is a person and not an it or a force. He has come to help you in your day to day life. He is there to comfort you when you are down, He is there to teach you and to guide you in all truth if you will learn to listen to Him. He gives you power to fight off temptation, and the ability to witness for Jesus. He gives you gifts to serve the Lord and He annoints you to do that work. The Holy Spirit always wants to glorify Jesus. Do not be afraid of Him. He is your friend, but He is a gentleman and will only take you as far as you are willing to go. We all need to learn to listen to Him and be sensitive to Him. He is the one that tells you what is right and wrong, what to do, when to do something, and how to do something. We all need a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit in our lives so that we might know Christ better and serve Him better.
