These types of warnings are important, but the truth of the matter is, if one doesn't come to this same conclusion without a warning, then the warning isn't going to help anyway. But, since you have exposed some people to this man through your warnings (I personally had never heard of him, nor his revival except through this blog), I do understand your need and desireto warn people to stay clear of the videos.

Well...I have watched the video's more than oncel and never have I experienced anything of the sort. I am in a way offended by the thought of the comment about the Word of Faith preachers. Our church is a Word of Faith Church and I don't people know exactly what we believe. They assume that it is all about speaking..."Money Cometh to me NOW!!" That is far from the truth. We are a Whole life believing church. We believe in total 'Soteria'...Nothing missing, nothing lacking, nothing broken, wholeness, completness, Peace and prosperity. There is a misconception of us. I don't believe that God intends for us to live in sickness and broke!!! He said in Isaiah that we 'ARE' healed..not that we might be, but that we are. And He said that he the Earth is His and the fullness thereof. So, that tells me that I am entitled to have whatever is the Lord, because we are all heirs of the Father. Now...concerning the revival. I have followed alot of the Prophetic Words given through Todd Bentley from the Elijah List, and I have to tell you, this man has been 'on point' and alot that has been given him has totally come to past. I believe that God has ushered in this revival and not just because of who it is, but because it falls into many prophetic words concerning the end times revival that has been spoken of by many. So I can't totally agree with what you said, and this is just my opinion!

Dear Tania,

No doubt, many people are being financially blessed and physically healed through the word of faith ministries because the powerful Name of Jesus Christ is being invoked and because these people exercise their faith in Jesus Christ.  But the truth of the gospel is twisted by these preachers who claim that poverty is a curse and that sickness is from the devil.  Many people after receiving healings in Jesus' Name in due course of time contract other diseases and then die. Lazarus who was raised to life also died. When we become old, we are normally susceptible to many diseases. Can you say that the devil causes all these sicknesses?

No doubt, many people had received healings through the prayers of Todd Bentley and other preachers of the same kind. Have you read the revival account of Welsh?  If not, please read it and you will find the consequences of a true revival.  A true revival will have a tremendous impact on the society outside the church!  All miracles and healings that take place through these ministries are confined to the stages only.  But in a true revival, healings and miracles will take place outside the four walls of a church.  The revived people will go to distant places and preach the gospel attested by signs and wonders.

If God had really ushered in this revival, the crime rate in the whole state of Florida or in the very town or the nearby towns, would have come down.  A revival which does not affect the society at large is not a Heaven-sent revival.  In a heaven-sent revival, God alone is glorifed and man takes a back seat.

Steel, you can go in for google search by typing the words "Todd Bentley - revival - florida". Arctic, thanks for your wonderful comments. We should warn the sheep of God about the end-time deceptions. The Lord was preparing me for this ministry since the year 1981.

We should examine the doctrines of Todd Bentley.  The following URL contains his faith statement.

http://www.freshfire.ca/index.php?Id=106&pid=8

The deception of the enemy can be discerned from the last point of his statement which is repdocued below:

"12. FURTHER REVELATION

We recognize that God is continually restoring truth and light to His Church. Therefore, we place no limit on further revelation; however, each must be substantiated according to the Scriptures".

My comments:

God does not "continually restore truth and light to His Church" at all.  The last book of the Bible Prophecy is the book of Revelation.  No further revelation is given to the church after the revelation given to John. God has already given His truth in His word.  It need not be restored but should be understood. The revelations given by Todd Bentley through his conversations with many angels are not of the Holy Spirit. All such revelations were deceptions through the enemy, just to puff up the said servant of God.

Yet another important area of deception in the ministry of Todd Bentley is regarding his doctrines on Israel.  Please read the following article prayerfully. Kindly take time to read my comments within brackets in red texts on each such controversial doctrine.

For thousands of years, God has used the land of Israel to mold His people towards the dream He has in His heart for them. Throughout all world history, God has chosen the Holy Land as a powerful statement to the people of the earth. The Father’s desire to rescue, establish, build and nurture the ones He loves is so evidently displayed in the rich history of this nation. There is no encounter that parallels the experience of walking and praying in Israel. If you have ever dreamed of visiting Israel, prayerfully consider this window of opportunity to walk where Jesus walked, during this nation’s 60th Anniversary.

(My comments: The Father's desire is not to rescrue, establish, and nurture a particular race under the New Covenant. God desires that all men should repent and accept His Son.  Under the New Covenant, God is not interested in saving a particular political state but in saving His people redeemed by the precious blood of His Son.  Such an experience is not scriptural at all.  The Apostles like Thomas, Paul, etc. had left the land of Israel with the glorious gospel and went to distant lands and places. Here, this preacher is taking the people of God to this "holy" land and then asking the people to trample "on this holy land".  If he claims this land as "holy", then all of them should remove their shoes and chappals to enter this holy land. God commanded Moses to remove his shoes while talking to him from the burning bush. We are supposed to walk like Jesus, not physically on the land of Israel, but in our spiritual life.

Todd Bentley and Fresh Fire Ministries invite you to experience a tour through Turkey and Israel with us. This will be a unique trip as we journey to key biblical sites in these two strategic nations. We expect to be lead by the Holy Spirit into times of ministry and prayer on location, as we remain attentive to His leading. What an amazing time we will have together, praying and receiving impartation in the very geographical place where Jesus prayed, performed miracles, instructed His disciples, carried the cross, rose from the dead and ascended into the heavens!

(Comments: You cannot get a spiritual impartation of the Holy Spirit in a geographical place at all. Here, this servant of God is idolising this geographical place. This paves the way for the deception by the enemy.  Here, another spirit of error is working through this servant of God.  He is completely deceived by the Antichrist.

We will begin our journey by arriving in Istanbul accompanied by Bobby Connor (Eagles View Ministries). Bobby is a true prophet in our day. He operates in a dynamic ability to release the heart of the Father through outstanding demonstrations of the miraculous. In Turkey, we will visit the Seven Churches of Revelation.

(Comments: No human being can now release the heart of the Father through outstanding demonstrations of the miraculous. Jesus, the Son of God, came into the world, to release the heart of the Father through outstanding demonstration of the miraculous.  The Holy Spirit has already been given to us.  This is the height of the deception.  The Seven Churches of Revelation are not existing now in the reality. The cement and mortar of these buildings would have undergone tremendous changes and the historical evidence of these churches may be there.  It has nothing to do with our spiritual life).

Next, we head to Jerusalem where one of the best-known tour guides available in Israel will guide us. It is a rare honor to be lead by Avner Boskey during this trip. He comes to us with many years of experience as a professional Israel Tour Guide, as well as, being powerfully filled with the Holy Spirit. He has a historical and theological depth of understanding that will deeply bless our journey.

(Comments:  It is merely a tourist adventure and  has nothing to do with our spiritual life. If you have money, you can go there to see these historical places.  With this money, why cannot you preach the gospel in places not reached by the gospel or build churches for the poor saints or for the persecuted Christians whose churches were burnt or destroyed by the enemies of the gospel?)

Avner and his wife, Rachel, live in the Beersheva region of Israel with their four sons. Avner studied at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, McGill University in Montreal (B.A. in Jewish Studies) and Dallas Theological Seminary (Th.M.). They have been involved for many years in evangelism, congregation planting, Bible teaching, worship and pastoral counseling. Avner has served on the Theological Commission of the United Christian Council in Israel, on the National Evangelism Committee in Israel, and from 1986–93 as associate editor of MISHKAN: a theological journal on Jewish evangelism published in Jerusalem. From 1995–96, they pastored the Messianic Center, a Messianic Jewish congregation in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Avner has also authored several exceptional books and he and Rachel have released several intercessory worship CDs.

We are still selecting the very best locations and sites to visit, carefully planning our uniquely tailored journey. Here are some of the historical landmarks that we are considering: The Mount of Olives, the Pool of Bethesda, the Upper Room, the Garden of Gethsemane, the Lions’ Gate, Via Dolorosa, the Garden Tomb, the Wailing Wall, Ein Kerem, the Dead Sea, the River Jordan, the Mount of the Beatitudes, Hezekiah's Tunnel, and Gihon Spring.

In so many ways, the 60th anniversary of Israel becoming a nation is a very significant occasion. In 1948, Israel became an independent nation for the first time in almost 2000 years. It was part of the fulfillment of God's promise to His people that He would bring them into a land of their own.

"Thus says the Lord GOD: ‘When I have gathered the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and am hallowed in them in the sight of the Gentiles, then they will dwell in their own land which I gave to My servant Jacob’ (Ezekiel 28:25).

Thousands of years later—in 1948—it happened! The voice of God shook the center of the globe as recorded on the front page of The Palestine Post, May 16, 1948:

"The first independent Jewish State in 19 centuries was born in Tel Aviv... and it was immediately subjected to the test of fire. As "Medinat Yisrael" (State of Israel) was proclaimed, the battle for Jerusalem raged, with most of the city falling to the Jews. At the same time, President Truman announced that the United States would accord recognition to the new State. A few hours later, Palestine was invaded by Moslem armies from the south, east and north and Tel Aviv was raided from the air."
(Comments:  If the people of God remdeemed by the precious blood of God attach importance to some historical places and monuments and set their hearts on these perishable things, they are setting up idols in their hearts. Why should they celebrate the birth of a political state?  It is for the people of this nation to celebrate their political freedom.  Why should the people of God associate with this particular nation so as to be antagonized by the Muslim people of the Islamic nations for whom also Christ died? This servant of God takes the people of God into the bondage of the Old Covenant and takes them back into the rudiments of the Law.

Following in the courageous steps of Joshua, the Jewish people seized their destiny and so the nations raged against them. Immediately upon this announcement, the land of Israel was attacked on all sides by seven nations. According to military strategists, victory over such a battle would be impossible. However, Israel achieved an overwhelming victory and dramatically increased its land mass. This victory stunned the world and was noted as an obvious miracle in global, political communities. To this day, although the nation of Israel is surrounded by many enemies and has many challenges, it remains strong and its strength is a prophetic declaration that trumpets loudly throughout the earth.

(Comments:  The majority of the people of Israel have not accepted Jesus as their Savior. Their hearts are hardened.  Jesus Christ was crucified in their very land but have not accepted them. How can you call the surrounding nations i.e. Islamic nations as the enemies?  Are they enemies to the people of God or to the people of the political Israel?)

Sixty years sounds like a long time to most of us. However, in the history of the Jewish people—against the backdrop of thousands of years spent travailing for this fulfillment of God’s promise—possessing the land of inheritance is a new and mighty announcement of His goodness and love for all His people.

(Comments:  God TV has already become a mouthpiece of the Antichrist.  This servant of God, being deceived by the Antichrist, is taking the people of God into a bondage. No special anointing of the Holy Spirit will be received in a geographical place which has been idolized now by many)

PLEASE READ MY MESSAGE ABOUT THE VISIT TO THE HOLY LAND.

False doctrine of visiting the “holy land” in Israel for receiving blessings by sight

Many servants of God arrange tours to the "holy land" in the land of Israel for the people of God promising spiritual blessings through such visits. Many years ago I dealt with this doctrine and warned the servants of God concerned. In this article, I deal with this pernicious doctrine that strikes at the very roots of our Christian faith.

"Believe Me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at
Jerusalem, worship the Father, Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

But the hour cometh and now is when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship Him..."
(John 4:21-23).

It is seen very clearly from the above words of Jesus Christ that we are no longer required to visit the "holy land' for the purpose of worship. True worshippers are required to worship God in spirit and in truth.

Jesus in you "is greater than the temple" (or any monuments in His memory) (Matt.12:6). Merely seeing the places of birth, crucifixion, burial and resurrection would pale into insignificance in the context of our faith in His birth, crucifixion, etc. The truth of gospel is more important than the places of gospel.

I can see the works of the Holy Ghost, not in the "holy land' where people flock to be blessed by sight, and not by faith, and where Jesus is still not accepted as the Lord and the Messiah. Nor can I see the works of the Holy Ghost or feel His presence or anointing in the places where He was crucified, buried and resurrected from the dead. "Why seek ye the living among the dead?" (Lk 24:5). But I can see the works of the Holy Ghost amongst the places not reached by the gospel in
India or Africa through the signs and wonders performed by the evangelists in the Name of Jesus Christ, or amongst the congregations of believers where they worship the Father in spirit and in truth.

Apostle Thomas came all the way from the 'holy land' to
India, and manifested the works of the Holy Ghost in our nation, whereas some servants of God were leading the people of God from India or other nations to the holy land. Can the believers who visit the holy land increase their faith or understand the Scriptures through such monuments? Should the monuments preserved in memory of Jesus take the place of the written word of God? No. God forbid. The Word of God has to be understood through the anointing of the Holy Spirit (I Jn.2:27).

Then what purpose is to be served by undertaking such trips? Is it to know more of Jesus by physically walking over the places treaded by His feet or by physically praying in the
garden of Gethsemane? No. We are not worthy to walk over those places, and to pray in the garden of Gethsemane. We, the bride, should not take the place of the only begotten son of God, the heavenly Bridegroom. In our spiritual life, we are required to take our crosses and follow Him.

Nowhere in the Acts of apostles or in the biographies of the servants of God who entered glory can we see that they led the children of God to the monuments in the holy land. It is quite against the New Testament doctrines.

Let us meditate on John 5:33 to 39, and see the four-fold witness to Jesus Christ. Verses 33-35 speak of witness by men (John Baptist); verse 36 speaks of witness by the works – greater than that of John; verses 37-38 speak of witness by the Father and verse 39 speaks of witness by the Scriptures. No 'holy monuments' testify to Christ Jesus.

We, the children of God redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus Christ, should not give importance to the historical evidence concerning the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus. By giving such importance to the historical evidence, we relegate to the background and even dishonor the work of God and the Holy Ghost. Though the empty tomb of Jesus bears testimony to the resurrection of Jesus, this testimony is meant for unbelievers or historians or Bible scholars who conduct archeological researches and discoveries, and not for those engaged in the ministry of evangelism and revival.

For believers, the indwelling Holy Spirit who was sent by the Father after the ascension of the Son of God bears witness in their spirit to the resurrection of Jesus. Secondly, the Scriptures including the gospels, the epistles written by the apostles and the book of Revelation bear witness to the truth of resurrection.

Historical evidence may not be cent percent true. But the word of God is cent percent true. It is also possible that the archeological evidence was tampered with to some extent by human or natural elements during the course of the past thousands of years.

Visiting the holy land is like searching for the shadow or the image of the object which is already in our possession and then knowing about the object through its image or shadow.

There are many guides in
Jerusalem to tell the visiting tourists about the significance of the places mentioned in the Bible. We are not in the category of tourists to be taught by some guides about the Biblical truths. In other words, we should not want to know of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ through mere evidence or through the mouth of tourist guides. Does not this act of ours amount to mocking of our loving Heavenly Father who had sent the Holy Ghost, the Comforter to be in us and to teach and guide us?

We should not identify ourselves with the company of tourists who are of the world which "by wisdom knew not God" (I Cor.1:21). We are not to be led by "the wisdom of the world" (I Cor.26:6) and "we have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit which is of God" (I Cor.2:12)

If we call the earthly Israel/Jerusalem as the 'holy land', and visit the same, then we will be deliberately trampling under our feet the 'holy land'. Let not God judge us through our own words. Similarly, if it is treated as the 'holy land', then we should not make it a picnic spot. The Israeli Government which has not yet accepted Jesus Christ as the Messiah has made the 'holy land' as a tourist centre, and the people of God should not frequent the 'holy land' merely as tourists. Let not God judge us.

By calling these monuments 'holy', we grieve and deny the Holy Ghost by our very act. 'Holiness' is an attribute of the Spirit of God which should not be attached to any places on this earth. "Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of His glory" cried Isaiah, the prophet (Is.6:3). The whole earth, and not merely any particular place in
Israel, is full of His glory. Only the place where God dwells is holy, and the same is called 'holy place' (Is.57:15). Under the New Covenant, we are the temple of the Holy Ghost which is holy (I Cor.3:16-17).

As New Testament priests, we have come "unto
Mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem," (Heb.12:22-24). Leaving behind the reality of the heavenly Jerusalem where we have already come through Jesus Christ, we should not attach significance to the earthly Jerusalem, because you have not come "unto the mount that might be touched……" After reaching the heavenly Jerusalem, we are still groping in the dark, searching for the earthly monuments or the shadow of the Old Testament. "…after that ye have known God or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?" (Gal.4:9).

Let us also read the apostolic doctrines in the epistles. Paul says in II Cor.4:18 and 5:7:

"..We look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal…."

" For we walk by faith and not by sight…"

God's money is to be spent in God's ways and for God's purposes. Spending God's money for purposes other than evangelism and revival, and exhorting God's people to visit the 'holy land' just for academic purposes may be lawful but are not expedient.

Thank you for speaking up.  God always speaks to the prophet first.  Let me throw this in:  There is territoral spirits; very real.  We come together now, for our Mighty God to reveal all truth and let us have ears to hear and eyes to see, in Jesus name.  Be blessed

Sondra, we are not under the Old Covenant.  Under the Old Covenant, God revealed His word only to His prophets.  Under the New Covenant, all of us are priests to God.  If we are priests, we are also His prophets.  A prophet is one who preaches the message of God to the people.

Benji, these days, only men are glorified and getting pre-eminence.

Was thinking of something, a teaching of William Branham, we do know that God does pour out his spirit upon all flesh, the good and the bad, we can only tell them apart when they are mature and begin bearing fruit:

Matthew 5:45  That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Acts 2:17  And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

Lets look at this explanation of the parable (now many try and turn the explantion into another parable itself, but rather this is THE exlanation of the parable and it is very clear if we open our eyes, that is, that there are those whom are seeds sowed by God and there ARE those whom are seeds sown by the devil, really its a take it or leave it as the Word of God gives it sort of thing, but there the scripture is and its not a parable or riddle, its the explanation of the parable and the riddle:

Matthew 13:38  The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
39  The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
40  As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

So his rain falls on the just and the unjust so that both grow together, only when they have fully matured and bear fruit shall you be able to tell them apart. So it is very difficult to judge any body of people, as some are tares and others are wheat but not many have matured and are bearing fruit that we may distinguish them.

William Branham met two men, one speaking in tongues and another interpreting, and using his gift of discernment he found something that amazed and confused him, that is, that when he used his gift of discernment he found that one was a real christian, and the other was cheating on his wife and had kids by another woman and such, he was stunned and didn't know what to make of it seeing that they were both displaying the gifts of the Holy Spirit, one speaking in tongues, and the other interpreting. He put this aside for a long time, and later on he had a vision (or a dream, I can't remember, I'll tell it as best I can remember), but what he saw was a light goodly figure going around planting seeds on the earth, and a dark evil looking figure going around planting seeds on the earth. Then when God rained his Holy Spirit down upon them the seeds that the light figure had planted spouted up and said "Praise the Lord", but then when the Holy Spirit landed upon the seeds planted by the dark evil figure they also sprouted up and said "Praise the Lord". You won't know them until they have matured and are bearing fruit. But the fruit comes not first, but first the blade, then the ear, and after that the full corn in the ear.

For those whom don't know, Florida is one of the most wicked places that exist in the United States, perhaps God is giving the people there a chance to repent before he passes a judgement upon that land. But anyway, we do know that the wheat is mixed with the tares and should bare this in mind always. Just some food for thought.

Brilliant!

Even in Revelation it is stated that BOTH the harlot and the Bride of Christ are clothed in "fine linen" (exact same greek word, "busenos").

After 16 years in The Lord, it has become apparent that it is not a suggestion, but a COMMAND to "test the spirits to see if they are from God."

"Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God.  Every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God."  The word "IS" being in the continuous grammatical tense.  If Jesus Christ is not in the flesh of YOU and ME (we being "Members of His Body of His flesh and of His bones") "The Word became flesh and dwelt among us" is continously happening, in every generation - if not, we are not truly born again.

The contest between Elijah and the prophets of Baal has again begun in earnest.  Time for all you virgins to rise from slumber.  Don't you know that the word, "Baal" means lord?

I'd like to be enlightened on the wickedness of Florida, if you all could explain what you mean.
My husband and I have both lived in Florida all our lives. I lived in St. Pete/Clearwater area in 1960-8 when my father helped start Clearwater Christian College which is the center for Child Evangelism Fellowship and Pensacola 1969-71 when I attended and graduated from Pensacola Christian School...the one that started the vast CHRISTIAN HOMESCHOOL movement in Florida, then I taught Christian school in Florida for several years and then worked with the extensive media and evangelistic ministry of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church, and two subsequent megachurches with tremendous outreaches and evangelism and missionary emphases. So there is a lot of good stuff along with I'm sure bad. What is the bad...besides the mecca of homosexuals and secular humanists (Disney World) and the Fake Fla.Fire and Healing Revival?
P.S. Wonderful blog...it hits everything that confused me for so many years. My parents and Gerry's parents all believed in praying for the peace of Jerusalem, and thought Israel was being restored by God for a reason...even that the temple was going to be built back on the spot  (just shows how ingrained dispensationalism IS in the church today.) They missed the spiritual blessings of applying the Bible truths you have discovered through faith rather than sight.
I find it tremendously exciting and the Bible means so much more now that I see the spiritual life through the Holy Spirit in the Bible on every page....for me, cast in the role of priest and prophet and apostle to the lost, and body of Christ, and full of all the power that the original Christians had as I go to a land to share Jesus where there is no church, no Bible, no witnesses and LOTS of opposition. I need the Bible to be full of life and power...and to be full of life and power too.
Praise God. It is all Him. I wait to be used by Him for Him and Him alone. All I am and all my money and life is at His disposal. I'm waiting for a great blessing to occur in India. Salvation of the whole billion people (or a majority) once they actually get to hear of Jesus for the first time.
If not, I might as well go to Disney World and enjoy myself.

Connie,

You yourself have called your own state a "mecca of homosexuals and
secular humanists" (wickedness and godlessness). How is it you ask me to help you
"be enlightened on the wickedness of Florida"? Is it that you don't consider a center of
activity (mecca) of homosexuality and godlessness a wicked place? I cannot address
you further, as to debate this thing, as you are obviously a bit blinded to what exactly is
wickedness and what is not, because you awnsered your own question and didn't even
know it.

I think this quote best sums up what I was saying (in so many ways).
quote from Linda Chapin, former Orange County Mayor (thats in Florida)
"Just because we've ruined 90 percent of everything doesn't mean we can't
do wonderful things with the remaining ten percent!"

God Bless
