2 Kings 4:28 (New International Version) "Did I ask you for a son, my lord?" she said. "Didn't I tell you, 'Don't raise my hopes'?" Many times we encounter people, churches, government and more that raise your hopes then let you down. We cannot place our faith on others or other systems but only on God. Others will disappoint. But God will never disappoint. When we focus on others or other systems we're idolizing; lifting them above God. God is the only one who can uses others or other systems to do things. He can coordinate and strategize things for our benefit according to His will. We don't know what He will choose for us; but we can be assured that it will not only benefit us but it will bring about the glory of God. His ways are higher than ours, which means we're not always going to understand how He may answer our prayers. All we need to know is that He loves us. Sometimes what we have prayed for accompany some struggle to achieve. Sometimes it take time for it to come to fruition. Sometimes God says no because it is not according to His will for your life. God loves His children and wants to bless them with their needs and He will provide. And He will only give us what is best for us. Yet we need to commit our faith in God throughout the struggle and the time it may take. We must not give up our faith. I was just convicted of praying to God without faith. Although my outward words said I believed; internally I was distracted with the cares of the world. My faith was drowned out by my own doubts. I was placing my hopes on my own strengths and my own understanding. But His word says "lean not unto thine own understanding". Our relationship with God will reveal that God can and will move mountains by our faith's for our behalf. God will give you just what you need when you need it. There are so many things we may desire and to be sure we need God to accomplish them. Even when are situations seem impossible. God is God and He is bigger than any situation no matter how impossible it may be.
