| Don't Worry |
|
| |
I have going through a lot lately and I am like most worry about things. God pointed me to this scripture and I thought it would be nice to share this with everyone. No matter what you are going through God has the answer. Feast on these scriptures and be blessed:
This is Jesus talking:
Matt 6:25-34 - "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not your life more important then food, and the body more important than cloths? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? And why do you worry about cloths? See how the lilies of the field grow. The do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God cloths the grass of the field which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith. So do not worry saying What shall we eat? Or What shall we drink? Or What shall we wear? For the pagans run after these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first the kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day [is] the evil thereof.
What a powerful passage. What a blessed assurance, Jesus is mine. We worry about things, that we shouldn't be worrying about. Let go and let God do what He promised He will do. The key is to put God first and all other things will be added unto you. He is faithful and just, and never lies.
My final thought: Try Jesus and see if He is going to do what he promised He would do...
The answer: God might not come when you want Him, but He is always on time.
Lean on Him and know that he is God!
Amen Dr Tameka Woods

| Good morning my sista, I thought about a song my choir sang on yesterday when I read this blog. It's called, "He's Able". Some of the words are: "MY GOD WILL DO, JUST WHAT HE SAID HE WILL DO, HE'S GONNA FULFILL EVERY PROMISE TO YOU, DON'T GIVE UP ON GOD, 'CAUSE HE WON'T GIVE UP ON YOU, HE'S ABLE"!!! Feast on His promise, my sista and know that if HE brought you to it, HE will bring you through it. Just remember Romans 8:28 |

Amen sister!
As the song says, Let Go and Let God! :0)

| If I thought about tomorrow - today, you might as well beam me up right now. Enough days troubles are enough for one day, and we can only make it one day at a time. |
|

Stevie Bee- that reminds me of a old hymn we used to sing in church. These are some of the words i can remember i might not have them all correct but here goes: One day at a time sweet Jesus, that is all i am asking from you. Just give me the strength to do everything that I have to do. Yesterday's gone sweet Jesus and tomorrow may never be mine. Lord for my sake, teach me to take one day at a time. |

| Amen! God is in control! Prophecy the Word of God into your situations & circumstances. Call those things that be not as though they are according to The WORD of GOD! ALL IS WELL! |

Do you know that this has been my scripture for years and that one God used this piece of scripture to sustain me. It's good my sister. |
|
|
| temporal vs. eternal -- focusing on the eternal is really the way to go, isn't it? it takes the edge off all our problems and reminds us how good God truly is! |
|
|
Moses- Praise God, he is sustaining you and all of us.
GrammyB- yes we most focus on the things that are eternal. That makes our problems small. And our Reward (eternal life) Big. |

I love how Jesus teaches us...He gives the command. Don't worry about your life. Then He gives beautiful images that will help us get to the place of understanding so that it can truly work in us. He is the Master, the Great Teacher. "Worry, who are you? You are a stranger in the land. You are a destroyed enemy." |

Praise the Lord, Dr Tameka.
I enjoyed reading this blog...It reminds of a very difficult time I was having in my life, about six or seven years ago...This very same scripture was the strength He gave me to stand on..In that time of my life, I would just get in my car alone and take long drives, not knowing where I was going or where I would end up... And at times felt so overwelmed until I didn't care...This one particular morning still dark everyone else still asleep, I decided to steal away alone in my car...In tears , crying out to God while driving...I must have drove across the little city that I live in, several times...When I pulled in to a dimly lit parking lot of a resturant that was not open for business yet...I prayed, cried, prayed, cried than something caught my attention, there in the parking lot...A group of small birds were feasting off of some trash that someone had thrown down on the pavement. And as I watched these birds come and go nibbling on the food someone left behind, it made me reflect on the scripture you posted. (Paraphrased) look a the fowls (the birds) of the air; for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather unto barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are you worth much more than they? At that point such a relief came to me and a peace and joy of knowing that God had my life in His hands and he actually cared for me...and that He was concerned with every little facet of my life....I tell you Me and the Lord had a hallelujah! good time in that car that day in the parking lot of that resturant....Thanks again for sharing this blog with us. |

| Worrying is a part of humanity. I once herd it say if you worry then why have faith. However most people such as my self have problems with not worrying. The fear of the unknown is always there around the corner. We worry about the positive and negative but no one never worries about faith. Thats interesting that I would say no one worries about faith. We worry that I prayers will not be answered and fall victim to our own circumstance instead of having the faith of a mustard seed. I too worry alot, more than I care to admit. Its a part of life. My question to the people who comments on such a fine blog site, what do we do when we have that faith and things do not work out like we though? Do we just say, "oh it wasnt in Gods plan." and move on? Or we remain hopeful that what looks bleak at the time god can still pull out a blessing or miracle? I would love to hear from the folk on this blog. Let me answer my own questions. I will continue to believe because God believes in me and love me enough to place me on this planet. |

"The first verse that came in my mind, was this mathew. God promised us to seek first his kingdom and all what we desire shall be added unto us. But many times the devil blind our spiritual eyes and we look only at challenges. We don't need to worry about" He has good plans about our lives, he cares and promised to be with us even throug the fire. So its time to know that our GOD loves us and he will never forsake us , if we seek his beauty. THANK U DR 4 THIS BLOG. GOD BLESS U SO MUCH |

To the question from mortal thoughts... I have heard a great woman of God say this..."If it's not working for you, you don't know enough." Sounds kinda tough doesn't it? But I know from the Word of God that there exists different kinds of faith...both strong and weak. Jesus said that He was praying for Peter so that his faith wouldn't fail him. I've been in a place where I thought I was in faith about a situation. I was confessing, praying...but yet in all that I was still BOTHERED. Well, thank God for pastors with a gift to see these things in their people. I was challenged to just stop. Go back to God. Repent. Because I wasn't in faith. Then, like a child, just ask Him to reveal His Word in a real way...to bring me to that place of faith for the situation. He did. The situation was resolved the next day. Faith and worry (being BOTHERED) are not roomates. I've learned this. I've also learned the sweetness of God...when I just go to Him in honesty, He'll teach me. |

OUTSTANDING Blog
To worry is human. We worry about job security. We worry about unexpected expenses. We worry when our children ride their bikes around the block for the first time. Worry is a normal and natural part of life. But too much worry can distract and paralyze-and can even lead to a sinful denial of God’s presence and grace in our lives. Scripture teaches that we find rest from inappropriate worry when we admit we can’t control the future and entrust ourselves-and our loved ones-to the God who does.
WHEN DOES WORRY BECOME SIN? Matthew 13:22 . . . The thorny ground represents those who hear and accept the Good News, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the cares of this life. Colossians 3:2 . . . Let heaven fill your thoughts. Do not think only about things down here on earth. Our worry over the concerns of life becomes sin when it prevents the Word of God from taking root in our lives. |
