5-5 The guards here say that they won't let in "Every Man's Battle" Just Bibles, no other books. Well, they said the Bibles weren't getting in either.
We just had Bible study and it was a full house. We are in James 4, submitting to God. Each time we have gone through James it is more effective than the time before. The end was interrupted by one of my guys rolling out. We all gathered around and prayed for him before he left. Then someone came back from court and came straight to me for prayer.
It is lockdown now and we had sandwiches for dinner. They just keep getting smaller and smaller. It is amazing how uncontrolled the guards are getting. They are locking down earlier and earlier. We are locked in a cell with three people for over 12 hours now. A lot of the time it is over 13 hours.
We got three new guys today. One came to me before lockdown and asked if I would pray for him. This tier was designed to hold 24 inmates and is now holding 51.
5-6 After "cup"fast we prayed with those who are headed to court today. There were nine going and all nine of them were at Prayer Call. One of the youngest came to get another dose of prayer just before heading out the door. Then another guy came over and asked for prayer. He said he wasn't going anywhere, just saw us praying with individuals and wanted some of it. I have never seen anything like it. This place has is now so dependant on prayer.
Ruth's thought bubble... I can't even begin to explain what happened to the guys that went to court. They humiliated them!! They took the deals that were offered them and then it was all changed in court. Doubled or trippled what they said it would be. |

| Well thank God they are asking and depending on prayer. Are there any other "strong Christians" in there besides Scott or is he doing this alone? Well...Scott and God of course. My prayers are with you. I can't understand how the guards are getting away with all of this. Arrrrgggg.....love ya Ruth...keep them coming! |

| He now has a "core" group of 10. Well I guess 9 now cuz the one just went home. I guess if you figure all the rollin in and out that goes on there.... there seems to always a group about that size. |

| Scott will be in my prayers and I got some friends are willing to pray for Scott too..God will make a way, for his children and as for the bibles and others books God will make a way for them.. Hold tight and watch it get by.. |

| They have been draggin' their feet about it but more have gotten in there. I don't have a number yet. |

ruth and scott i will pray that the bibles will get in there and that the presence of the lord will be there with u and scott and with all thee other people too and that god's word would get spreaded throughtout all over that place and i will keep u both in prayer forever and i will also pray for all thee other guys and just like shelley said just hold on tight and watch it get by so don't worry cuz worrying is a sin and we dont wanna sin do we we want to trust in the lord fully and not half way so please do me that favor and just lean and learn to trust in the lord jesus christ amen

Thanks for another moving letter, Ruth. Really makes me realize how blessed we all are.
One concern I do have is how is Scott being supported? Is there someone in LA that is visiting him routinely? We can hold him in prayer here - and that is very needed, but having someone he can turn to locally is important, too. Is there someone, or is that something we should pray about, too? |

Well, SJ here on MyChurch is the one that has been bringing him stores money and visiting him. But they kept him out for sooooo long just being hatefull!! Also Hazard has applied to be on the visitors list and I don't think they have done anything with that. They like to ignore.
I have another letter to post but as you know yesterday was busy for me .... LOL |

Let's keep that in prayer then...Scott may be a very strong man - especially in the Lord, but we don't want him to be alone and we don't want him burning out.
Lord, please open up the doors so Patrick can visit and let SJ be able to sense the needs that Scott has before he even speaks them. We speak to any stronghold holding the doors closed that they must be removed in Jesus name! Father, please surround Scott with saints that can hold his arms up as you fight the daily battles for him. In Jesus' name we pray. |
