Thanks for the scripture link. I've always found that a great passage. It speaks to me about the 'good times and the bad' and how you should pray always. That being said, the one thing that jumped out to me was the idea of confessing our sins to one another. Now, I know Catholicism has you do that with a priest, but how and when do Christians usually do that? Seems to me it happens AFTER being saved - in our testimonies of where we've been, what we've done. What are we being told here? To come clean to God, ourselves and each other? Confessing to God is tough - can we swallow our pride and confess to each other where we've fallen, even after we have Blessed Assurance of salvation? Hmm. |
