I read a report - don't remember where-  that showed that prayer physically alters our bodies.
It's all in the laminin!   LOL

If prayer does nothing else, it calms the soul of the one praying.  That alone is worth it.

Thanks for the scripture link.  I've always found that a great passage.  It speaks to me about the 'good times and the bad' and how you should pray always.

That being said, the one thing that jumped out to me was the idea of confessing our sins to one another.

Now, I know Catholicism has you do that with a priest, but how and when do Christians usually do that?

Seems to me it happens AFTER being saved - in our testimonies of where we've been, what we've done.

What are we being told here?  To come clean to God, ourselves and each other?  Confessing to God is tough - can we swallow our pride and confess to each other where we've fallen, even after we have Blessed Assurance of salvation?

Hmm.

confessing could be that I need to apologize for how I've felt, what I've said, or what I've done to someone.......to come and confess and ask forgiveness.
it also could be that I need someone for accountability......
Hard to do.......yes, and needed.......yes :)

You have not because you ask not.  Prayer opens the door to whatever God wants to do in your life.  It is your faith interacting with the will and purposes of God.

Amen Bro Todd! I used to journal my prayers. I would date them and when they were answered, I'd write that date down too. It was awesome seeing it on paper. And even better, when my heart hurts too much that I can't speak nor write......HE still hears!!!!!!!!
